It's obvious they didn't change it to him having it on all the time. Besides the rants about that were too funny.

Because no one cares anymore and after all the fanboy ranting people have realized that Prime with a mouth is actually a good idea, not to mention that Prime had a mouth in the cartoon anyway. Orion Pax anyone?

Because now people are raving pissed off about the Animated Series they haven't even seen yet. They only like to get outraged at things that they haven't seen in full yet.

Once people saw the lips in action, people got excited

Cybertron Prime and Optimus Primal both had retractable faceplates as well. Though Primal rarely used his.

There are bigger things to be upset about. Plot, for example.

The funny part is, he only uses his faceplate like once, and it's for the tiniest part, and you can barely see it because of the angle.

His face is cool as hell because of the detailed animation, but I found the actual design kind of lame. He has no chin, the lips are too low on his face and it's weird. Of course, it's also alien.

no, it's mostly because there's no point in complaining since our opinions obviously don't matter to the people making the movie.

Now that I think about it it was only Seibertron complaining. And boy was he loud about it.

And why should they? We arent the ones spending hundreds of millions of bucks making a movie to hopefully turn over a huge profit of further hundreds of millions. So what say do we have in anything over such a large project? Jack sh*t thats what.

And like people have already stated, other incarnations of Prime have had lips, so its no biggie to see this new incarnation of prime to have lips.

People slamming an entire movie over one tiny detail are idiots if that is the case, and if you are a TRUE fan you will embrace change and evolution.

The faceplate thing went away because like with everything else in this movie...paramount and Bay shut us up.

Everything that we have complained about in the past has actually turned out to be...good...really good.

no, he's correct. Speil-Bay set out to make a movie that would appeal to the masses...and they did EXACTLY that.

Only I think there were hypno-screening (pictures, that targets the unknown parts of the brain?)... I think the movie was good, but when I think about the comparison between the traditional forms and the movie... Ouch, headache... Arrgh....

You've told 2 other people to speak for themself when it comes to their broad generalization comments. I think perhaps you should do the same and not critisize us for not being nit picky and complaining about every little detail such as flames and mouthpieces and fangs.

I agree, you are absolutely right. But i wasn't speaking for everyone, just generalising based on the many discussions i've had on this forum.

I was mostly referring to the dozends screaming "OMGWTFTHISMOVIEISGONNASUCK" and a couple of months later that same bunch is now screaming "DUDETHISISSOTOTALLYSWEETANDALL" = most of em bandwagoning. A lot of those people were also the people that screamed that primes lips were an abomination and are now suddenly content with it.
I'm not keeping track on who is having an actual opinion or who is bandwagoning nor did I accused any of you personally of it. You all know who you are
