Oh yes. It cannot withstand the full force of an hydraulic press.

So... no... clear plastic joints/hinges?

These are a thing of the past. Even the toys that are "full clear" today have their joints in solid plastics. Appart some panels, of course.

For the full CLEAR experience, refer to my cooming list.

I guess? I keep referring to SS86 Jazz as the poster boy for bad clear plastic usage. The clear plastic I noticed on SS86 Ratchet deters me from picking him up.

When the clear plastics are on hinges and especially TABS, that's where I get nervous as well.

But as I said, there's nothing stopping you from getting the Dead Ironhide and Prowl 2 packs. If you don't like the "battle damage", just mod it. You'll have the best Ironhide yet while avoiding the clear drama.

Do the same for Ratchet when the "Dead" version comes out.

I think I'm going to need a lot of modding advice. I'm guessing Bondo, sandpaper and repo labels are involved...

I'm thinking of getting the set myself and doing exactly that, despite having the original SS86 Ironhide. I'll have to look into what would be the be way to fill in that battle damage cavity... Unless I simply swap the part with my regular SS86.

BTW, do you have at least a Sideswipe and a Red Alert? These may be the BEST WFC mold.

I finally completed my collection of them today.

If you have Sideswipe, you gotta have a Red Alert. If you have Siege Sideswipe, try getting the Kingdom version of Red Alert to have a "Earth" version of the mold. If he's too expensive, the normal Siege or the Netflix version would do.

Woah! That's a small miracle right there!
For a while, Kingdom Red Alert was impossible to find and sold for 60$+ on eBay.

Nice find! ;)^

The online thing was expected. Walmart online often do that shenanigan.

But the fact that you were still able to find one locally in a brick-n-mortar store was a blessing from the Gods.
Seriously.

Thanks! I guess I got lucky. Red alert should fill that Ratchet/Prowl-shaped hole (clear plastic and overpriced) in my heart as Red Alert is G1 and Fire Department as opposed to EMS/Police.

That's one of the two deluxe-sized autobots I'm looking for down. Thinking of Huffer as the other unless you have a different recommendation? Doesn't have to be a deluxe; just on the smaller side.

As I told you before, Voyager Metalhawk would go well with your Black Zarak.

As for a small :BOT: , SS86 Core wheelie or Sam would be nice. Unless your display is just pre-Movie G1. In that case, Titan Return Seaspray would be perfect.

People say they are nice.

I have all 3 of them... still sealed. The first two have their Reproplabels sheet stuff inside their box. I'm waiting for Bomshell's reprolabels to come out. Once they are, ordered, and received, I'll finally open all 3 at once to repro them and play with them.

YEah, that's a strange rule I got for them.

Ha! Silverware! I'm amused! He looks good though! What type of spray paint did you use on him?

I think I'm going to pass on the insecticons although I could use a decepticon of a smaller size... I have all of the cassettes though. Suggestions?

The paint I used was just your run-of-the-mil spray paint from the hardware store. I made sure it said "bond to plastic" on the can.

By "smaller" Decepticon, what do you mean? Deluxe or Core? Legacy Deluxe Needlenose was better than I expected. If you want to build your Masterforce crew, get the Core Bomburst and Deluxe Skullgrin.

Gotcha. I've used krylon 5 on plastics with some success.

Yea... core class-ish sized would be preferred. Can't say I'm in love with the options presented.

If you stick with just Legacy, you limit yourself like mad. But if you're willing to go further back, your options increase tenfold.

Like the previous Generations Insecticons, wo are the same size as the G1 original and are fun and poseable. Because they are now "outdated" by the recent Legacy deluxes, their prices should now be reasonable.

There's also a tons of fun SCOUTS Decepticons to get. If you paint yourself in the G1 corner, you won't find much, but if you're willing to broaden your horizons, you'll find tons of stuff that are awesome.

Like the Power Core Combiners, the Scouts of various lines, and more.

Find the Walmart exclusive G2 version. He's loud, flashy, and unique enough. And with some luck, you could find it at retail.

That IS the entire point. ;)

You could always check out my picture above, and pick the "Sideswipe " you want.

Also, Gigawatt is pretty nice and would fit in a G1/WFC collection. It's also still easy to find.
