After the Raptors thought they shot down Starscream (ie: "Oh! I think we got him!" he then lead the team forward. Okay but here's where the speculation gets juicy. I know a large majority of you believe he wasn't shooting down Megatron but hear this out. When the shots were being fired, the 5th or 6th shot sounded much like the TransFormer's missile (Bubble Farts) and the missile was actually shaped differently and colored blue. After the missile was fired Megatron "bled" blue and it was quickly covered up by other Raptor shots. It was stated in a video interview with Bay that the TransFormers will in fact have regular ammunition like their scanned alternate modes along with their Cybertronian blasts. This COULD mean that Starscream shot one of his own missiles rather than the human-made missles.
On another note:
Jazz is in fact reborn =].
In the biography for his G1 Redeco action figure it states that he was rebuilt by Ratchet. After being rebuilt he felt that the silver paint job had to go because it "scratched too easily". Ratchet and Bumblee then helped him repaint his body to his G1 homage color scheme. (READ THIS ON THE BIO ON TFORMERS).
Feel free to voice your opinions with or again me.
PS I missed you guys!

But there is something to have in mind: stating that they can scan regular ammunition, this is mass they will lose in any shoot..., wouldn't them? So in terms of "realism", is kinda nonsense, assuming that the TF's have an energetic cell or core, is more realistic of only use light weapons, if not, regular ammunition should be reloaded often, and this is something that an "alien invader robot" couldn't afford with no risk...

Maybe they only come with that model? that's a great point.. so the nokia bot would have lost mass when it morphed the rocket launcher and the gatling gun bullets? that was what supprised me. i understand the dew bot had soda cans to shoot. but when i took my nokia apart, i didn't find any frag rockets. poo

Well you could look at it this way. In the cartoon series, death was brought about by unrepairable damaged parts. And unless replaced, the bot would die.
Kinda like when your computer gets a broken parts. It could only be repaired so far and so much until you have to buy a new computer. Otherwise, you can keep reviving your computer.
Bumblebee's legs were severed. Torn from him. But repairable since it was most likely easily replaceable parts and ripped wires.
Jazz was severed at his torso. Unless there was something that was ultimately damaged beyond repair, he could be revived. But he IS "dead" (offline), just maybe not beyond the science of fixing.
Kinda like a Vampire. He could "die" if he doesn't drink blood or loses it. But can be revived. Unless you damage his heart beyond "repair" (healing).

Except that it was apparently the writers intention that the medical beam Ratchet fired at him when he first arrived did exactly that.

it was bb touching the cube that fixed his voice box not ratchet.

T Honk wrote: Trust me. No he didnt. 5 theater views and my own, rewindable copy say so. Nor does Starscream change color at the end. He hits the stratosphere and engages his thrustors.
Any color change is the effect of these two things.
