I was thinking, what if Megatron remained dead and Starscream replaced his roles in ROTF & DOTM. I felt he would of had great charecter development, more so in DOTM if it had been revealed that he was behind the plan with Sentinel while serving under Megatron on Cybertron. Your thoughts?.

It wouldnt work out so well. Weve seen how well he "Leads" and everything would have gone all to hell. There wouldnt be a part 3 because part 2 would be about the decepticons dying.

yeah that might be true or point blank true with other incarnations of Screamer, but movieverse Screamer seemed to have a great amount of intelligence and common sense. While Megs seemed to rush in and act without thinking.

BUT he was also pretty wimpy. He loses every fight he gets into, gets beaten by megs and everyone else like he's some toy, never really tries to take over the decepticons (wether or not he bombed megatron in movie one I dont know) and he died at the hands of a human. And not much comon sense to just stand there bitching about how there's a grappling hook in his eye. He could have transformed and flew off. Transformers see with more then their optics. I lost alot of respect for movie screamer in that scene.

It would be interresting.

That would leave Megatron with no scenes in the other movies though.

His death in DOTM was perhaps the most pathetic death scene in the entire Bayformers series.

They write him to be this cowardly yet cunning, intelligent con in the first two movies to making him look like a complete dumb ass in his final moments. And why was he after Sam again? Why were any of the Cons after Sam again?

Sam literally had no purpose/gain for the Cons in DOTM especially with the Mikeala arc gone and the Matrix arc done yet all the Cons made it a point of emphasis to 'get him'.

Was stupid and a stupid way to kill one of the most iconic Cons.

Well, considering what a relative wimp Megatron was turned into in the course of two sequels as it were, I'd have thought Starscream would have been the perfect alternative.
