That looks amazing. I missed getting the 3rd party Crash Hog figure and have regretted not having a more movie accurate Wreck-Gar. Now, I am hoping that they will rework the mold to make other Junkions for army building.

True, each junkion had its own unique look. I just the others for bike mode and I want 2 to customize. Something tells me those junkion retools are going to be hard to come by in multiples. Just like the Quintesson bailiff.

Two for me also, but I'll hope for a random Junion like Screapheap or Junkyard.
Edit: So we're getting a retool? That's nice. I won't go nuts with these, I still have my old Junkions that can be randos now.

You know, it would be hilarious if that’s the same axe accessory from the generations mold that also came with the Walgreens POTP mold.

It’s been rumored that we’ll get retools. So far most of the rumors have come true, but nothings set in stone. I’m still waiting on my sweeps!

I have no real attachment to Wreckgar, but yeah he looks real good.
But man those nips. Didn't think they had it in them to make them that accurate.

I remember the G1 Wreck-gar figure was awful, and looked only vaguely like the movie animation model. This looks better, but I'm guessing the facial 'hair' will be rubber, and I wonder how the alt mode will look. The Reveal The Shield Deluxe Wreck-Gar was pretty darn good, except that some of the thinner parts like the bike handles were very brittle and prone to breakage. Here's hoping they make this one rock solid, and still keep the bike mode decent.

Looks really good but not a must for me with having RTS. I had the willpower to avoid POTP Wreckgar so hopefully I can reseist this one too...

So I ordered an add-on set for Grimlock...
Just over $11... Although the seller messaged me & tried to say the listing was just for the sword...
Which clearly it wasn based on the listing name & the photos.
He agreed to send the hands too & not just the sword, so that worked out.
But anyone who looks into these, be fore-warned...
I’m a little worried about what’s actually going to show up now.
Anyway, I think that Wreck-gar looks really good...
The hips are probably a bit wide, but the face-head sculpt look great...
I know the image is filtered, but the colors look good, and the overall proportions as well.
If he’s only as tall as Hot Rod I’ll be good with that.
I actually don’t want him much taller if at all.
It will be interesting to see if the wheels in cycle mode do turn/spin.
I mean they should, although if not, it’s not a deal-breaker for me.
As of right now I’m in for this guy. We’ll see about any retooled Junkions...
That/those will most likely end up on my maybe list.
I have 2 Sweeps preordered, & I think the deciding factor will be Gnaw, especially if I like him enough to get a few, then I’ll probably skip Wreck-gar’s buddy.

Wreck-Gar’s wheels are on the wrong side. Is the image flipped on the vertical axis? Otherwise, I hope the wheels are modular and can be put on either side. It looks like that may be the case, judging by the look of the ports on the legs and arms.

...okay that looks reallll good, I might have to get this now. I've always loved the Junkions as a concept, but the only figure of one I have is the PotP Wreck-Gar from Groove and I typically avoid character repeats. I guess I can just repurpose that one into some rando Junkion, though, since he just lives as Sky Reign's leg anyway. Very curious to see the bike mode.
-Wreck-Gar can ride himself/Junkyard
-Comes with a gun & blast effect in addition to the axe
-Wheels partsform between modes, so can be placed in multiple spots, and may be able to roll via similar engineering to Siege Springer's rotor blade setup but this is unconfirmed (I also don't have that figure, so I can't picture fully what that means)
-Around Siege Springer's height
Some details about Junkyard were also discussed, although those sounded more like they still have time to potentially change, but it sounds like he's going to be as close to the primary picture of him on TFWiki as possible with the exception of his wheels mounting on the sides of his legs like Wreck-Gar.
We have a store listing for the Junkyard retool (and the Sweeps), I'd call that a bit more than a rumor.Deliverence wrote:It’s been rumored that we’ll get retools. My generations Wreck-Gar broke at the handlebars so unless a figure of the lead singer of Flobots as a transformer gets released, im getting SS86 version for sure. Had no intentions of getting any retools but now I'm sorely tempted

Re: Studio Series 86 Discussion
I'm getting Wreck-Gar and at least two additional Junkions. PotP isn't bad if you excuse the tiny head needed to fit in the combiner port during combination, but this looks to have a big, glorious dome with magnificent facial hair. I also like the wheels being detachable. Yeah, definitely need a total of three of this mold, Biker Gang from the Planet Junk

I don't really have a strong opinion. Wreck-Gar was never one of my favorites, but it does look to be well designed and mostly screen accurate. The only small criticism I'd ask is, does anyone think the antenna on the back of the head are too small?

If I were a fan of the character, that wouldn't be a deal breaker, I'm just curious.

They could definitely be bigger but after the incredibly tiny PotP head this one being 95% dead-on is good enough for me. And Wreck-Gar is my favorite Transformer character from the '86 movie cast.

Or if the head folds away into the body for transformation, it could also be a clearance thing, needing them to be short enough to fold away with enough room for the head to fit.

Indeed.
Pretty sure safety concerns, and actual space for them in bike mode, would have limited their length.

Good point, but I wonder if it would have exceeded the budget to make telescoping antenna out of "safe", but not "too bendy" plastic?
I definitely appreciate little things like that. When I compare my UW Superion with harder plastic antenna vs the CW silverbolt I use for Magnaboss (with floppy antenna that wont stay straight)

This new Wreck-Gar looks fantastic, but I've never been all that attached to Wreck-Gar or any of the Junkions, so I likely won't buy it. I used to own Power of the Primes Wreck-Gar, but that was mostly to have another limb for Lynxmaster so I could display Ratchet in robot mode with other 1984 Autobots. Either way, it's good to see Wreck-Gar get an update that's not an orange repaint of Groove, and I've heard plenty of horror stories about the Generations 2011 Deluxe's quality control issues, so I'm happy for those who've been wanting a new Wreck-Gar.
