Its a mold they attempted to make but are no longer doing and the chinese factory that stores the mold is producing it and releasing it instead. Thats what the rumour is. It could be false, but the fact that it already appeared on chinese websites that sell KOs kinda adds to this.

Yes, thats what ti would seem to be, it gets my money too (its not the first time I have done that for a similar release).

Also, the Tokyo Toy show did happen today and Takara was present but all they had to show was Diaclone V2. There were also a ton of model kits and train sets. No TFs.

Glad I have Despotron in hand even more then. Plus he really is freakin' perfect.

Well, if it ever goes up on TF-Direct.com I'm all over it!! Or SirToys, I've used both (SirToys was a little better).

That's really disappointing, I thought we'd get some Shockwave/Beast Wars-esque magic like last year.

The MakeToys release right? I always have to remember the companies went with not the same first letter as their company in their Megatrons (DX9 = Mightron, MakeToys = Despotron)

Yeah, Despotron is Maketoys and he really is something special! Very clever engineering, fun transformation (though some of the panels on the legs can be a bit funky.) and the optional faces are great! Angry, smirk and maniacal laughter.

To each their own, I'm just glad we have options! I'm ok with the backpack on DX-9's, but I'm not ok with the height. He seems JUST a little too tall. I've done a lot of comparisons between P-38s and all three new scaled MP Megatrons, DX-9 seems to have the alt-mode pretty nice.

What hapened to Appolyon being the winner? Also Cobo while I am being a wet blanket, let me bring the mood down even more. Due to the illegal poaching, we may no longer have rhino farts in the near future.

Apollyon WAS the winner, until parts fell off during transformation to alt mode and I left him hall transformed

It IS nice! If I had the time and money, I'd take all three and make the best version somehow. That won't happen though. So I'll stick with my Apollyon until the official comes out in whatever form it does.

MakeToys really is earning my trust, almost to FansToys (Dinobots, Quakewave and Tesla) levels. I have their Protectobots (They're getting combined tomorrow!) and Hellfire. DX9, what else have they done? Getting hard to track all the Companies. S'why Im sticking to only a few, tried and tested groups.

The notables for me with DX-9 are Tyrant and Carry, as well as their legends class figures. MakeToys, I'm a fan of their Headmasters. FansToys just makes stuff everyone wants.

DX9 did Gerwalt? (Not blitz wing?). He got a VERY favourable review fro Peaugh (spelling?), to the point that I want it.

There's also Mastermind Creations. I have their Hexatron. REALLY want their Carnifex (what a perfect name).

Only other 3P I've done business with is BadCube. Bought their Wardog (Warpath). Very clever but holy cow! Massively over engineered and complex. I wanna have fun transforming these thing's not feel I need an engineering degree. Plus it took damn near a year to get them to finally send me a part which snapped in the shoulder. Straight outta the box, no real pressure. *Snap* arm falls off. Really bad feeling from £100+ figure
