I think that mod might be transformable. That white piece has been added. It's not part of the original design. you can see where it's pegged or pinned into the panel.Emerje wrote:They're snapped/glued back onto the front sides by the looks of it.

I mean the panel itself is stuck on, the white part is to slip the wheel around the back not hold the panel on.

Which if thats the case - a 3rd party needs to get on this right now.

I might add parts to a figure to mod it, but I will never cut or damage one. After all, I might one day wish to sell it.

I agree with what you're saying although out of all the problems Ironhide has, the hip kibble is what I can look over the most. Im glad some of these pictures make the neck/chest area not look so awkward. I still haven't bought him but I'm leaning towards it.

Still hope for a kit that replaces the front end. I'd get MP Ironhide if a kit was readily available.

Though doing the mod isn't really past what I can do, either....

Just found that mod system and was about to post it, but you guys beat me to it. Those little bits of change make a heck of a difference really, but I don't mind the original look with the butt wheels and the hip pieces. They look like he can quickdraw a pair of six-shooters right out!

I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

I just hope some 3rd Party comes up with a mod for the less slice-and-dice inclined. We may not be able to alter him out of the box, but I'm encouraged that improvement is possible.

I never once said it wasn't transformable. I said it looked like the the side panels were glued on and as it turns out I was right.

Don't worry - nobody said you did!
It was adding weight to the comment about where the panels had gone, as you had previously quoted the post about them being tossed aside

Seeing the fix makes me want this toy less, until some kinda add-on comes out to switch it.

Off the top of my head I cannot think of any part on any Masterpiece figure that is as thin and frail-looking as the additional pieces required to make that mod function. It looks like something that would undoubtedly break over time. I also question how stable the van mode would be when the tires are connected with those spindly little arms.

Mine should be here tomorrow. I absolutely love the character but I'm not too excited for the figure due to the hip kibble and window forearms.
Looking to swap a takara Titan class fortress maximus head for a Hasbro US retail Titan fortress maximus head.
Would alternatively buy a Hasbro US retail fortress maximus head on its own if anyone had one for sale.

Ironhide never had window forearms so it's an eye sore because the character never had them. It's just annoying when other mps were very clean and this one seems rushed and thrown together. Since the mp line began this is the one I've been waiting for and I'm really disappointed.

Just pure speculation on my part, but I don't think they put any extra effort into making a third "G1 toy" bot mode.
