What's wrong with the window forearms? I think they look at least okay, if not awesome!
Ironhide never had window forearms so it's an eye sore because the character never had them. It's just annoying when other mps were very clean and this one seems rushed and thrown together. Since the mp line began this is the one I've been waiting for and I'm really disappointed.

It's better there than somewhere else... (like on his hips or something.) In other words, you do you, and me do me.

Well as a massive fan of the character who was a pivotal character to have a lacklustre representation in comparison to some lesser characters it's disappointing.

Remember, it doesn't have to be 100 percent g1 accurate. Relax, take a deep breath, and remember that g1 is only one version of Ironhide, and he can wear a tool belt if he wants to. The only part I actually hate is the butt wheels, but other than that he's pretty damn good.

Except that's precisely the tagline and credo of the mp line.
Accurate, licensed vehicles with the cartoon bot mode shoved into it unceremoniously - whether it works or not - so yeah, to them, it does have to be 100% accurate

Being completely honest, for whatever reason, Ratchet makes that mold work so much better than Ironhide did, it can't just be the different diaper... maybe the colors have something to do with it

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Why? I think if it were an additional mode, then it would be in the instructions. Or we would have at least gotten a pic of it from TFyuki. I think it was the work of fans really trying to make something happen for the pure fun of it.Prowl4 wrote:I highly doubt that.shajaki wrote:Just pure speculation on my part, but I don't think they put any extra effort into making a third "G1 toy" bot mode. I share this opinion. Takara would have made a bigger deal of it from the get go. I think the only OG homages they intended were the face and the sled.shajaki wrote:Why? I give equal odds either way. This is the kind of gimmick masterpiece is infamous for. This is also the type of fanboy wankery we are infamous for.

I actually agree. I have no idea why but Ratchet looks better for some reason...

I think, before calling a product lackluster you could at least handle it personally first. Then judge the product as a whole. Images alone can't give you the actual feel. Just saying.

They could've had a thin shell that made up the sled detatch completely, leaving us with nothing but a potentially more usable mass of kibble free plastic.

I dunno... my critiques of the figure aside, it does do a pretty good job of integrating the parts. It's the darn hip panels that kill him, and it seems some creative engineering could have done away with those, or placed them differently.
