The name's a little clunky, though. Just "Mayhem" would have done, or maybe "Thunderwing Maximus."
Or maybe "Mayhem Maximus".
Yeah, I could have lived with them staying Mayhem Maximus. But other options...
How about "Tumultuous Maximus" or "Pandemonium"?
(I'm looking for "mayhem" synonyms online. Sadly, "Turmoil", "Fracas", and "Maelstrom" are already guys. So's "Ruination", but I think this would be the perfect time to reuse that name if nobody's gonna give us a PROPER one. Other than the fact that the Wreckers themselves used it in the FoC toyline.)megatronus wrote:Thunderwing lives! Well, his head does, at least.
Thunderhead?

Bingo.

She's a beaut clark.
Cyclonus is a great combiner body, no way around it.
Waiting on that Stormbringer Thunderwing....

Sabrblade wrote:As far as Hasbro's concerned, they very probably feel that the Generations Deluxe toy of Thunderwing already counts as a Stormbringer version of him, what with his headsculpt being Stormbringer-based.
As for using the Cyclonus mold as a Thunderwing torso for this combiner, I don't want it as a representation of Stormbringer Thunderwing, I'd want it as a representation of what it's meant to homage: Marvel Thunderwing! The original master of awesomeness.

Except I love Marvel Thunderwing and all I see here is a bunch of combined Transformers wearing a Thunderwing helmet like when I wear my movie Optimus Prime voice changer helmet. Doesn't make me Optimus Prime (no matter how hard I try)
I see no Thunderwing here. Just cosplaying.

Battle Gaia one year, and Guard city the next would've been amazing, and gotten me to join the club even if they were just repaints of bruticus and Protectobots respectively.

The draw here is the individual characters more than the combined mode. People are mostly buying these guys for the individuals. I don’t know how many people would pay $300 for those other guys. Sure there is demand for them, but only as a combination not as individuals.

I'd feel good about it. Sure it's loud and somewhat random, but it works pretty well. And it has a cool and awesome Thunderwing head! Can't go wrong there
