Personally, I'm betting that before the end BlackArachnia will be Prime's squeeze and an Autobot. I know that Animated is a completely sovereign continuity, but history does repeat itself.

If the fans have their way, I'm sure it will happen, but in the end anything is possible. It's given that the Autobot Elite Guard ((Ultra Magnus, Sentinel Prime, Jazz, & Ironhide)) will show up and it seems as though both Primes have feelings for Elita-1/Blackarachnia. The love triangle will resume more than likely when Sentinel shows up and finds out what happens...

One of the best episodes to come out yet, brings Optimus character into further relief and gives us some good background whilst also introducing a new character in the process.

Blackarachnia's beast and robot modes appear to be synergies of her forms throughout Beast Wars/Beast Machines, incorporating the best elements of all three body types whilst keeping it on the level for the kids. Bulkheads reaction to her was priceless though

The only minor disappointment in the entire episode was the effect they used when Elita became Blackarachnia (puffing up). Seemed out of place and just plain old wrong.

The final scene with BA stifling her tears alone in the night was a very nice touch (and saddening too ).

Overall I'd say that this series is definitely what we've been waiting for in terms of characterisation. Even traditionally hollow characters like bulkhead (Strong but dumb) have depth to them utterly lacking in prior shows.

So far this series is on the definite up and up. Only a surprise cancellation could ruin it at this point in time, and that's doubtful given the general praise I've seen from most fans.

This episode marked TF: Animated getting back on the right track, IMHO. Although I must admit I don't care for Blackarachnia/Elita1 as a character. She's too much of a confused drama queen. Then again, every show I've ever loved has had a "love to hate" character or two in there to make things interesting.

I do want to see further in to the back story for her. Specifically, some more of how the 'cons picked her up. How did the others react to a former Autobot joining their fold? Do they even know that she was one? Blitzwing (we need more of him) made fun of her, the others don't seem to care for her, maybe they do know...

If the Decepticons, did know about her former life, has she disclosed any Autobot secrets? Why is she off by herself now? Does Blitzwing (Who seem to be the leader of the displaced 'cons now.) know where she is?
