Welcome to the General Discussion area where just about anything goes! This area is designed to discuss all matters and does not necessarily have to be Transformers related. Please keep topics relevant.

Agreed. I think the reason the Matrix sequels sucked so much was because they revealed all their tricks telling the stretched-out story of the first film. Nothing new came from the sequels, making them boring and repetitive. The original matrix was marginal at best as far as good entertainment, and then sequels were disappointing. Especially the ending. Good thing I never wasted any money on the movie tickets or DVDs.

uh I think this topic has been derailed. I thought we where suposed to be talking about BAd B movies not talking about the Matrix and and Dragonball Evolution. Though I have to agree that Shenlong(Shenron) Was far to short in length and I could have gone without the ki attacks being called air bending.

:BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD:

So we need to get back on topic of this thread.

I kinda liked the 2nd Bloodrayne movie. Once I gave up hope of the movies ever having anything to do with the games and looked at it as a separate entity it wasn't too bad.

Petey Wheatstraw, the Devil's Son-In-Law. Also, I quite liked the more recent flick, Slither.

Petey Wheatstraw's opening scene is absolutely classic.

Slither had a few scenes that seriously cracked me up. I wish I could quote some, but it has been a while since I saw it.

I watched Big Trouble in Little China last night, it was so bad it was hilarious. HILARIOUS! Best line in the movie: "WANG!"

Most Godzilla movies are pretty bad themselves. I mean of course it's a skinny Asian dude in a rubber/foam/latex suit smashing through buildings, but the acting is also horrible, and the plots are usually really dumb.

That being said: I effing LOVE Godzilla: Final Wars. There are several rip-offs from other movies, a couple of in-jokes and references to past Godzilla movies, and I'm almost positive that John Peters directed the fight scene with the giant spider in it (if you get that joke then I love you). However, the most awesome thing about that movie is how intricately detailed the sets were. I mean the buildings that Godzilla and the other monsters all eff over have such a high amount of detail put into them that I almost feel sorry for the guys who worked at putting them together only to see them get smashed by a scrawny bastard in a rubber suit.

What was I talking aboot again?

Right, bad movies.

Death Race 2000 was horrendous. Except for one thing: Hand Grenade.

I freaking love Big Trouble in Little China even though it has been awhile since I've watched it. As a matter of fact, I enjoy a good number of Kurt's work including that, Stargate, both Escape films, and Soldier.

Yea Godzilla Final Wars is one of the only Millennium Godzilla Movies that are watch-able.
a shame since the original was a pretty much one of the best movies ever made, especially considering the time it was made in.

I can't recall if I've posted in here yet, but OP mentioned Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, and I really liked that movie, as bad as it is. It's plenty bad, but it leads me to my contribution to the discussion for now, and that being

Mega Pihrana.

Perusing my local Blockbuster, hoping to find something that would build upon the success of MSvsGO, I found Mega Pihrana. My girlfriend did protest loudly, but I clutched the case to my chest like a small child finding something great at the toy store.
Jesus did it suck. Tiffany "stars" in the movie, and man, if you haven't seen her in a while, take my word for it and don't. Not that I'm intentionally being shallow, but the story of Mega Pihrana was about half an inch deep, and that unfortunately was not enough to drown yourself in. The acting is so terrible it makes Megan Fox in the Jonah Hexx trailer a contender for Best Actress, and the dialogue is just so assinine it literally pissed me off.
The effects look like absolute garbage, like someone drew the fish on top of the film cells. Oh, and there's a helicopter battle that just brings tears to my eyes.

Here is the creamy center, though, the reason you should rent this abortion:
Attempting to escape the Venezualian military our plucky band of genetic engineers/SEAL commando stage a thrilling car chase, indicated as such by the furious shifting of gears in the car. From high to higher to low to Gran Turismo racing speed until it registers in your brain that the car they are driving is

Very obviously an automatic transmission, and that they didn't even try to hide that fact.

Alone in the dark with christian Slater. Saw it at the movie's and could not believe they put this movie out for viewing, but the movie was so bad that me and my buddy's laughed and made fun it through out the show. So I still had a good time watching it. My friend even tried getting his money back. For those of you who hate people talking in the movie I want you to know there was no one else in the theater. I bet the movie only made the fifty bucks. Unfortunately it was my fifty bucks. Good time Bad movie.

I have My Name Is Bruce on DVD. I highly recommend it. It's an enjoyable romp.

I liked Dragonball, honestly.

I haven't seen Toxie in a long, long time. Anyone remember the cartoon Toxie & The Toxic Avengers? There was even a line of toys by Playmates. The movies though, pure Troma, all the way.

My recommendation:

Wes Craven's Deadly Friend (it's considered a cult classic by some, and one of my favorites)
