Quoted for truth.

He's Starscream. Isn't that enough of an explanation?

Besides, Galvatron pretty much expressed this exact sentiment. With extreme prejudice...

That's the POS inclusion that comes with MP Starscream.

A person could always "inadvertantly" lose Dr. Archeville if they really hated him, or would that hurt being able to resell Starscream in the future?

Plus, how big would this Starscream be in realistic scale? Dr. Acheville looks pretty tiny.

IIRC this was brought up when MP Starscream first came out. I think that it's somewhere between 1/60 to 1/48?

Like most accessories that Archeville figure will definitely stay in the box.

I think they should've done a poll where they asked the fans "What accessory would you want included in with MP Starscream?" And list all the options. Or they could have an option when you order him if you want any of the accessories and which ones to include. I definatly wouldn't have picked Dr. Acheville.

By the way, is there a visual scale of his size anywhere that I can see of MP Starscream? I tried actually measuring out his height with a measuring tape one time, and it would appear that a five ft. person would come up almost to his knee. But that was with a 42 ft. given measurement.

I tried using the search facility on the Toys forum but it didn't bring anything up. I think that it was Air Commander Starscream who was kind enough to provide a shot with a Valkyire - maybe you could PM him?

As for options, it's probably a fans dream. In some ways I feel quite vindicated as duing the lead up to MP Megatron I thought that both the pistol and lightsabre from the Megatron/Prime showdown would end up in the set.

uhm... resizing? why in gods name should starscream be larger? I seem to remember starscream being smaller than megs anyway, not by much but alittle smaller none the less. Besides, i think he fits in fine (except those fugly colors and the legs which in my honest opinion were perfect on the original design, before they changed it to "gundam styled" wingclips. I seriously hate that about 'screamer.) because it makes it easier for me to setup megatron choking starscream, like he so rightfully deserves to be :P ( awaits the flak that will be fired at me from all screamer fanboys/girls, including acs  )

I could...possibly create coronation garb. there are spots existing to take the shoulder pads already, so that would simply be a matter of finding the right sized peice to fit into the hole, and build up from there.

I wonder what material could be used for the cape?

The thing is, if they release the coronation gear, his cape will be just a piece of material with some clips, and fans will say, "It's not what we were expecting, they could have put more effort into it," and so forth.

As for Ravage XK's post, I don't remember reading anywhere that the MP line's core focus was to be show accurate. I thought it was to engineer articulated robots that maintained a degree of show accuracy from realistic alt. modes. Prime's toy weighed more on the show accurate robot than the realistic alt., but still his COE mode was realistic. Red and blue COE's like that do exist (I'm not sure about the feet section, I've never paid much attention to the rear end of a trailerless COE).

Starscream, then, gave us a realistic alt. mode with what I consider to be a very show accurate robot mode. The only thing, as far as I can really tell, that wasn't accurate was the colour scheme. But that was compromised for the alt. mode's colour scheme to begin with.

I agree. I do not have an issue with MP-03 at all except for the colors and the good Dr., which is once again a colors issue, kinda.

Coronation gear would be cool to have as the holes were put in for them. I'd have preferred it if the slots for them had been removed if they were not going to include it.

However, since they didnot remove the slots, I assume a GA accurate screamer is due soon enough along with the coronation gear.

When that happens,I'll just pretend that MP-03 is Thundercracker or MR. Generic rank filling Seeker. ;-)

As for the size, well he is not supposed tobe as big as Megs or Convoy, so it really isn't an issue for me. He is bigger than the alts appropriately, and just the right height for Megs to put a nice chokehold on him.

I'm thinking had Starscream had the type of feet that he has on the Masterpiece version, his foot wouldn't have been caught in Autobot City when it transformed in the movie.

True, I was just being sarcastic anyways. I'm just trying to find a silver lining in everyone bitching about his feet.

I think his feet look better than some of the poor excuses for feet they put on some of the alternators.

Absolutely! Actually, I always wondered why they didn't incorporate some modern jets into the Alternaters line.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I don't have a problem with the cars but according to the Binaltech "story" new bodies had to be created for the Transformers. I'm not sure why they had to all be made cars.

I think that is in part why the line works really well for the Autobots but not so great for the Decepticons where there are fewer cars. The Decepticons that have been introduced, for the most part, have been done really well. Shockblast, for example, still looks like Shockwave in bot mode for the most part and looks very good in alt mode.

I'm surprised they havent done all the Stunticons. It seems like a no brainer. Imagine if they could form Menasor. That would be freakin love!

Besides the lack of planes, how about war machines like tanks and construction vehicles?

I am curious as to whether they have considered broadening the line any as it seems to have been quite successful so far. I never see alts. warming shelves anywhere.

the mp prime, megs, screamer, and even the bt/alts are all done to a size scale that closly matches the size diffrences of the g1 toys. screamer is not supposed to be as big as megs, and barring a few animation flubs, he never was, the g1 toys sood to g1 prime and megs about were mp version does.

thats part of what being a masterpeice version of the toy is all about. personaly, i love the darker gunmetal gray that screamer was given, i just dont like the blue midriff as apposed to the red. and i think his sice is absolutly perfect. the only dissapointing feature about screamer was the last minute cut of his coronation armor, and the horribly done archevil

I hope that if they do release Starscream in the future with his crown and cape, that each subsequent Decepticon released comes with a trumpet to play at the coronation.

On a more relevant note, I noticed that the original plans for the Seekers in the Heart of Steel story have Thundercracker with the MP Starscream paint scheme.

I thought that the thinking behind the BT range was to introduce a line of licence 1/24 replica cars that harked back to the original Gen 1 figures. Therefore that's why the line has been limited to cars only.

I'm not sure what legal paperwork Tomy Takara had to sort out to get the rights to use the F-15. I suppose that one thing that helps is that the F-15 design is pretty much 30 years old.

As for other vehicles/military vehicles, I'm not sure what licencing Tomy Takara would need to get.
