Shellforming means kibble. That would at the very least screw up the show-accuracy they'd probably be trying for.

Maybe Grimlock could have a combiner head that was similar to the old Landfill and Wedge was just the chest armour, would still work well. Wedge would still basically be what he was in R.I.D.

Good ideas on the alt modes, a drill tank would probably be a given if the Technobots are really going to happen next year. Can't be that many repaint/retool options there.

I'd like Wedge to offer an alternate head so the head can be orange.

Glad you like the alt-mode ideas I offered up, though I'm not sure the real tunneling tool is close enough to Nosecone to share tooling.

Would Hasbro even can that it wasn't close enough to the real thing? These days it is common for them to modify an alt mode to look like a real world vehicle while having a number of minor differences or just make up something new that could fit in with the real world.

Besides, I'm sure what many think of as a "tunnelling machine" is closer to Nosecone thanks to Hollywood.

I guess that's kinda why I want it to look like the real thing, because it'd be something you don't see anywhere, especially in Hollywood. Particularly the drill part itself, I want a terrifying mass of interconnected augers that looks like it chewed its way out of hell, rather than a single elegant drill.

on the topic of shockwave, none of the recent ones fit my C/G tastes. KFC's mugan mold sure has gotten around... and i came sooooooo close to getting their soundwave. but KFC's bad wrap always stopped me from pulling the trigger.

I actually prefer a cannon/tank to his gun mode. Come to think of it, I actually think a walking tank mode would be cool for Shockwave. I would kinda envision this alt mode similar to that of the "Walker" from the game Destiny (a game I don't play, but I've had to sit through a couple of friends' [who are addicted to that game] play sessions). I think a 4 legged tank would be a great fit for good ol Shockwave. Also why does KFC have a "bad wrap ( )" as you put it? Have they been known to not have good product or something? I don't buy 3rd party, and I'm just curious why you say that.

Because they produce sh**. I've also heard a lot of bad things about that mould. Seriously, every official Shockwave ever made is better quality.

KFC has had quality issues in the past. supposedly theyre doing better work these days, but the mugens were back in the "sketchy" days.

a walker type alt mode would be awesome! something i wish we saw more of are... more alien like TF's. shockwave has always struck me as one of the most alien like with that cyclops eye. beast machines really brought the "alien" back to TF's. i think a walker tank would be an awesome alt mode for shockwave.

forgive my ignorance, but does animated or prime shockwave have a walker mode?

Energon Shockwave had the best set of alt modes in my opinion- an artillery piece and an orbital cannon. Shame he's so fragile and difficult to pose (mine literally broke in half!)...

Myself, I'd like to see Shockwave be large Voyager or Ultra scale, and be a quad(!) changer: Robot, static artillery piece, massive "land cruiser" and spacecraft. I'd also like to see him with a little mini-con that turns into a tiny space probe.

Another thing I'd like to see is a Megatron that turned into one of these:



The Hind gunship. Not only is it huge, but it's also armed to the teeth, nigh-on indestructible, and just plain menacing. It's possibly a step up from his other favourite alt mode (a tank) AND it can fly! I might do a custom Megatron from DotM Skyhammer actually, seeing as he's pretty similar to one of these.

Oh, and before I forget: a space themed combiner team. A space shuttle as the core bot, a space probe, a Mars rover/moon buggy, a space plane and a small rocket (more like the Apollo unit than a full rocket) as the limbs, and the Hubble Space Telescope as the targetmaster!

The figure I'd love but will never see? A Masterpiece Superion. Each jet limb would need to be MP seeker sized with Silverbolt being at least MP Magnus sized.

Another thing Hasbro will absolutely NEVER make: Decepticon Justice Division. I never buy 3rd Party stuff due to the price, but god dang I may just have to buy Perfect Effect's DJD stuff.(assuming they don't just make Vos, since only making 1 member would be illogical)
Maybe Hasbro will one day make them a con exclusive or something. Also, ever noticed how CW Skydive's weapon looks kinda like Tarn's weapon?

I was thinking of getting that Shockwave too. (it also turns into a microscope which kinda works for him). Is there anyone who has the figure and could confirm the quality? I'm bummed out to hear it might be junk.

Coming from left field here, and probably the only collector that would ever ask or care for this...but a Ultra Magnus style repaint of Cyberverse Optimus Maximus. It just makes sense.

Had to resort to using my own photo, as there is no Seibertron gallery for this guy. Furthering the truth that I am the only person on earth who would care.

Why not customise this... thing... into Optimus's decaying corpse found on a riverbank? Paint him as if he was rotting and add a fistfull of rubber worms and bugs for effect!
