idw gift sets would be awesome!! I would buy probably all of them if they came with premium paint jobs, and it would be cool if the box had a fitting background (lost light is Swerve's bar, windblade is caminus, etc..)

I dunno about that. Optimal Optimus should at least be leader size because he IS freaking big compared to everybody else. I have the original toy and while he is ginormous, his vehicle modes are pointless and he's not a fun toy to fiddle around with.

What I'd really like to have is a modernised version of Optimus Primal. Voyager size, of course. Still, is that really necesary? Because the original BW toy is almost perfect.

Moosey, that's what I was thinking as well. Some backdrops would really add to the sets.

Speaking of Lost Light, y'think Hasbro will ever give us an IDW Fort Max? The 3rd Party one looks great, but is much to expensive for my "generations only" collecting budget ( ).

Sure, CW Devastator look amazing and will be affordable for what we get, but it's no MP material. Just look at the individual bots and see where the budget cuts were made.

A true MP Devastator would be Herculese but licenced by HasTak.

An IDW fort would be brilliant as would an IDW chrome dome plus where's a nice nautica and nightbeat set?

MP devestator: to be fair if there was going to be a proper one made it would be all takara and they would be too proud to simply licence a third party product...In fact they would strive to better it in every way...at a price

He always looked like Optimus's spark had rather brutally wrenched those modes out of him and given him a case of kibble-cancer in the process - possibly because of incompatibility with Maximal technology from a couple million years in the future. Perhaps when it happened to G1-era Cybertronians, their more powerful repair systems were co-opted to handle integrating the new functionality, but power-saving Maximal systems didn't have either the juice or the correct protocols to come to the party and do tidy-up work on things like hands, feet, aerodynamics, vehicle suitability for the local environment etc.

Let's face it. Girls do love Transformers too. My neice would be all over a Bumblebee that transform into 3 steps... but with a car mode compatible with two Barbie sized dolls.

How about that? Added playability, and a sense of scale!

A Transformer that turned into a reasonably accurate depiction of a Sea Vixen. My imner plane buff longs for it.

I'm pretty sure it wil be impossible. It's impossible to put basic articulation into the regulars ponies for starter. So a 60$-90$ transforming car with lights and sounds? Even if many boys and girls would want that, it may be too weird and/or a too big finencial risk to ever be made........ even for a 3rd party company.

The only option left: a very talented and dedicated customiser.

And most of them tend to do resculpting and painting bu not so much in terms of wiring and such. Ah well.

It would have been nice if they'd decided to do a Combiner Wars Monstructor, given that Monstructor was the first combiner in IDW continuity, and popped up in some of the comics that were included with the "Thrilling 30" Generations figures.

A downscaled "MP" in voyager scale to go with the regular Generations figures, you mean? CW Optimus dont really count and Classic OP seriously need to be replaced. I think a simplified voyager sized "MP-10" could be made for the regular voyager price. Remove the matrix gimmick, replace the articulated hands with normal fists, leave out some deluxe parts like the clear yellows from the crotch, plastic tires, and you get a very nice G1esque OP to go with the classics!

Maybe a KO company will do it.
