Decepticon Justice Division, a group of... "enforcers" that "deals" with dissidents, traitors etc. in the Decepticon ranks in the IDW comics. It helps they have torture devices, or transform into them (which may be why they're never made by Hasbro...). The core 5 are named after the first 5 cities to come under Decepticon control:

- Kaon
- Tarn
- Vos (Wear... my face...)
- Tesarus
- Helex

Tarn could be made. They keep releasing official statues and figures of him over and over and he basically turn into a cybertronian tank. There is no excuses to not make him.

So far the biggest thing holding him back is that he only featured as a villain in the first half of More than meets the eye, even then that was only in the latter half. If he can get himself added to other media though...then he'll get a figure.

More obscure characters got a transforming toy.
What baffle me is that they keep making figures and statues that I assume sell well because they keep making them. So if Tarn action figures and Statues sell, why not a transforming figure?

I think the main reason is that the IDW-verse toyline ended with Combiner Wars. The final chapter being T30. For Tarn to be made into a transforming figure, he must appear in another universe. Like "G1" or Cyberverse. Or the IDW-verse must make a comeback. I'd like an official deluxe Cybertronian Drift.

Tarn kinda was in Cyberverse, or at least his design was as "Perfect Decepticons" under the control of Megatron X and we still didn't get a figure. He would have been perfect for Troop class. :-(

You know, one figure they may never make is the New Beetle Bumblebee, or in this case, the alternators/alternity/binaltech concept art of him. That has always been my dream figure, but I doubt they will ever release one now =(

Hot take - I think the DJD would be a good candidate for a titan class boxset. Two leaders (Tesarus and Helex) one voyager (Tarn) and two deluxes (Kaon and Vos). At retail they would come out to $170, but since Vos is really skinny they could make it work at the titan price point.

It would not have a "class". It would be like those Titan Return sets like Chaos on Velocitron.

I'd be down for such a set, of course.

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that the torture device altmodes are the only reason any DJD beyond Tarn aren't made into figures. Seems a simple fix really.

considering 3P companies have made Kaon have a 3rd "crab" mode, it can be done, with some fanmoding to allow for the original modes. I don't see why they couldn't make the other 3 honestly, 2 are tanks with a dangerous hole instead of a gun, and we have battlemasters and weaponizers like Cog/Sixgun/etc. so why not make a sniper rifle?

I think at this point they can all actually be done.

Hasbro could just do what they dis with Shockwave and give a "bonus submarine" mode to some figures. Then you just have to twist something the other way to make the "true forbiden" mode.

But with current year's TWITTER CANCEL KARENS SQUAD, this will be difficult to do.

I wouldn't think a deluxe-sized cybertronian sniper rifle would even be a problem. It's not like anyone would ever think it's a real gun. As for Kaon, you could probably just fold down the back of the chair, angle the electric coils, and BOOM, it's a tank.

Another couple that I'd add here are some I have a little soft spot for, that never got "Real" figures of their own:

Rhino and Panther. Relegated to Happy Meal toys, they could be made into something decent themselves. Although I believe Panther's likeness was repurposed elsewhere.

Both, could be either minor retools of the Rhinox and Cheetor molds. Alternatively, their bot mode designs have enough unique visual cues to lend them into being something else altogether.

But it may take 10 or 20 years for those modern remakes as it was the case for the Bayforners and Beast Wars.

I don't think we'll have to wait that long to be fair. Sooner or later, someone will come along and move the priority away from G1. When that happens everything from UT and beyond, should be pushed forward to fill the void.

Indeed, that Bee could have been fantastic. I wonder what car it would have turned into? Impossible it was the Beetle because at the time, Volkswagen were still idiots.
