Supreme Convoy wrote:Just saw it today and dug it. Of course, I'm stoked for this movie since I'm a huge Joe fan (hell, I even spotted the Sigma Six logo!).
Overall, I thought it was fun action movie. As an adult, I feel like it should've been something like Blackhawk Down. But the kid in me loved it since it just felt like the cartoon. Really enjoyed it.
And this video points out Larry Hama's cameo, which I completely missed.

Yep. Prime's mouth made him more expressive and actually looked pretty good. And while I haven't seen GI Joe yet, as long as Snake Eyes doesn't use his mouth for anything more than eating, I'm fine.

only reason it wasn't unbearable to look at was b/c ILM did it. SE should never have lips molded into his mask under any circumstance. Just wrecks the character

"Boom Boom Pow" by The Black Eyed Peas. It's a remixed version, but it's unclear which version that is.
Convotron wrote:Sienna Miller as the Baroness...she is so beautiful with dark hair. And those glasses. Good lord, she is hot. I won't lie, I was enraptured and whatever merits she has an actress in the movie takes a back seat to her attractiveness. I apologize to any women reading this but dark haired women with glasses do it for me.
Eccleston as Destro was lukewarm for me. I haven't seen his other work but he seems to really lay it on thick with the Scottish accent. It felt like much of his effort in his scenes was just delivery of dialogue as Scottish as he could without stepping over the line into the realm of parody.
Convotron wrote:Oh so it is his natural accent?
Autobot032 wrote:I agree, there was no reason for Snake Eyes to have a mouth on his suit. If anything, that tells us that eats and drinks in the suit, which would lead one to assume that he rarely, if ever, removes the outfit. How disgusting is that? It's one thing to take a vow of silence, it's another to stew in your own juices for God knows how long.
Autobot032 wrote:Yuck.
...I feel bad for Ray Park. Can you imagine running around, doing stunts, etc in that get up all day long, and in California no less? It must've stunk, for sure, and it must've been a pain to remove.

Shadowman wrote:EDIT: Also I'm going to be the weirdo and say I thought Scarlett was hotter than the Baroness. Mostly because I prefer redheads.
Darth Bombshell wrote:Convotron wrote:Oh so it is his natural accent?
I don't think he is. He didn't talk that way during his tenure as the Doctor.
Predaprince wrote:I think you are confused. They were speaking of the Destro character not the Doctor/CC.
vectorA3 wrote:Who was the chick who played Covergirl?? A cutie for sure
Darth Bombshell wrote:Karolina Kurkova, an actual model playing an actual model.
vectorA3 wrote:no Roadblock b/c like with many of our favorite TF characters, Hasbro didn't renew/keep the rights to the name (like dumbasses) and thus created Heavy Duty after that happened during the 80's cartoon/comics. [Annoying that 2/3 insecticons names got changed for the upcoming TRU G1 re-issue)

Agent 007 wrote:Also a quick plothole question, if the nanotech stuff was so important and so dangerous in the worng hands why did they have so little security around it? 5 trucks and 2 helecopters aren't enough, where are the raptors? And additional backup?

vectorA3 wrote:you're thinkin about it waaaay too hard man. No way u can enjoy the movie with that mindset. It's an action movie based off a cartoon, comic and toys. Didn't know u were expecting Blackhawk Down, Bourne Identity realism. Even with the great Bond flicks u have to suspend your disbelief just a little bit!
