I don't believe that is Damolisher's intention. He simply wants the thread locked out right. I just want to get back to the main topic and either hear more theories or discuss the theories already on the table.

We're halfway there. Just 30 pages more, and we can nail it!

The “gene” theory is sound. DNA is nothing more than a biological blue print and the equivalent of that would HAVE to be in a Transformer’s self repair systems, or else an arm would grow where a leg used to be. I think that these same nano-bots could combine and create a new Transformer, a combination of the donor robots, or parents.
I don’t see how this could be done INSIDE a robot, however. I also don’t think having a physically immature robot would make sense.

Ok, here's the thing...all of this is plausable.

I acknowleged this with my earlier posting.

However, none of it is canonical. That being said, it's still plausable. The crux of the issue, is that in no credible media is this theory supported or reinforced.

What we do know about TF life, is that it originates at the Spark. Sparks are a part of the Matrix, Primus, Vector Sigma, and/or the AllSpark depending on the series. While TFs could replicate organisms which are similar to themselves, without this higher devine presence, their is nothing to grant the 'Spark of life' to the creation. It would not be a Transformer in the same way that a Spark endued robot is a Transformer.

It's like every new bot is a new Adam. All created originally from the AllSpark.

The Transformers universe is much bigger than just Cybertron. There's the Junkion planet, Sharkticon planet, Kranix's planet (that became dinner for Unicron), and so much more out there.

I have the opinion that each "race" of robots from different planets, may have their own different methods of procreation.

Based on tv series and movie alone, i don't recall seeing any kid bot in Cybertron. Wheelie is considered a "teenager" type of bot. So maybe on Cybertron alone, there's no "parenting" or bot sex. Just life creation from a spark.

On Kranix's planet, there's lots of kids. They even seem to have differing bot genders. So "parenting" can apply here.

On Junkion, it's probably bots creating bots. From the junk.

And a variety of other setups in the other planets.

I'm still waiting on a reference to show Lithone being a TF or TF relative planet. "Transformer-like" =/= Transformer

Hmm.. as a secondary question, since in this thread it is assumed that a Tf can reproduce sexually, how does the male Tf know when the female Tf is attracted to him? I know with animals and possibly people, pheromones are used, but what of a Tf? Does he/she have to rely solely on body language (flrting, a smile) or is there a pheromone equivelant? Or does a male Tf just suddenly say to a female Tf "I love you, lets get married?" and thats it?

I'd assume they're built specifically for each other, with matching personalities, etc. Well, with the exception of Arcee, who I'd believe was an exception to that rule. If you take the UK Comic's example of what Arcee was built for, she was an attempt at warding off claims of sexism from females by the Autobots. But keep in mind that Elita and Optimus were built with a similar computer interface system, and are therefore boyfriend/girlfriend in the Cybertronian way, and Ironhide and the male Autobots and those other femmes aren't really in love, they're just old friends, since there's no conclusive evidence Chromia, Moonracer or Firestar were ever in love with Ironhide, Powerglide or Inferno. They're just close friends who must've worked or fought alongside one another at some time, going by their reactions.

And we saw the deal with Silverbolt and Blackarachnia.

Well, it's kinda like, you've got certain types of VCR which only go with certain kinds of TV, for example. Same brand goes with same brand. It's why I think the whole "Courtship: thing Tramp keeps going on about being total and utter BS, because with a race of warring robots, and every robot being made is being used in the war, you'd have certain robots being compatible with others. That's like the whole "Sideswipe and Sunstreaker brothers" thing. I reckon they're made on similar technology. Same with "Fathers" and "Mothers." It's whoever builds you.

While I personally don’t agree with you, That IS a very good theory, I could quite easily see it being the case.

Well, I mean, it's like Quickswitch, right? The TV Commercial calls him Sixshot's son" and "Determined to make good where his Decepticon father went bad!", being that Quickswitch was from the 1988 line, and Sixshot was from the 87 line, coupled with the fact that they're both 6 changers, you could say that Quickswitch was built using similar technology to Sixshot, BY Sixshot, or that he's Sixshot Version 2.0, for example, like you get with computers, you've got software updates, etc.
