Honestly! He looks like a Canary! They most certainly could have found a true blonde blue eyed actor that would fit the bill.
As far as i know the dude that's playing Thor is an unknown and not a box office draw so i think they could have found a more Nordic esthetically accurate actor that didn't require a dye job.

No! Norse Mythology always made a point that Thor had a big badass beard. That's one of the things I didn't like about Marvel comics version, that he didn't have the Beard of Thor. He's also supposed to be a redhead but I'm willing to make SOME concessions here.

Well, it's the same company as Iron Man and the good Hulk movie, so I have more faith than, say, Punisher: War Zone.
