Nemesis = G1
Slipstream = Animated

They're different, mmmkay? ;)

Anyway, getting back to my original point, Slipstream hasn't been on any Transformers TV shows other than Animated, so I'd very much like to see her on Prime.
I do not blame Michael Bay for crapping all over a huge part of my childhood. He just directed the scripts that were given to him. I blame Orci, Kurtzman, and Krueger, who seem completely incapable of concocting a story that even halfway makes sense.

Dude, you just insulted the entire TFWiki staff.

cotss2012 wrote:Stick to what's on store shelves and TV screens like Trekkies do.
Why should I? Why shouldn't I broaden my horizons? Why should I restrain myself from anything that isn't a toy, show, or movie? I am not that closed-minded. If I wanna read comics, play video games, read novels, go to conventions, talk and hang out with people, etc. then should have every right to do so.

No matter how many people wish it, the cartoons and movies are not the end all be all definitive versions of the Transformers canon. The other media are just as much a part of it. Everything is canon. No such dominate continuity exists.

Besides, it's not like this stuff is anything new. There have been plenty of news announcements made about them for many months now.

cotss2012 wrote:Anyway, getting back to my original point, Slipstream hasn't been on any Transformers TV shows other than Animated, so I'd very much like to see her on Prime.
And all I was saying was how she does exist in the Prime continuity, but we just don't know where she is right now or what happened to her back then.

The fact of the matter is that these have been made well known for some time now. How could you not know of at least War for Cybertron?

I've been busy with watching Prime, playing Minecraft (though I recently re-sparked my Civ 4 addiction), posting on politics-related message boards/forums, finding a new place to live, learning Japanese, preparing the Halloween prototype of what will be my Comicon costume, and balancing all of the other things I do that prevent me from having a life. This geek cannot live on Transformers alone. I also have a few seasons of Code Lyoko that I've been meaning to watch for a few years now... and La Femme Nikita... and when that's done, maybe I can force myself to sit through the rest of Season 3 of the original Transformers.

You're not the only one who has to balance fan interests with real life. Still, WFC was the biggest thing of 2010. You're the first person I met who knows nothing of it, as it's currently widely regarded as the greatest Transformers video game of all time (I haven't even played it, yet I've still gotten to fully experience it). But as far as Transformers goes, 2010 was all about War for Cybertron.

He appeared in the European G1 catalog story "Predator Air Attack". As well as the IDW G1 stories "Megatron Origin" and "Last Stand of the Wreckers." One can have characterisation without air time. ;)

Prime is a more important, more widely known part of the franchise. It started in 2010. The fact that it did not exist during the majority of the year is irrelevant. You might as well claim that Green Lantern was "bigger" than Captain America just because it hit theaters first :roll:

More important, you say? Then explain how, between the two, WFC gets the most praise, and Prime gets the mixed reception?

Yes, but it didn't become a hit until 2011.

Here's an example of an early reaction to Darkness Rising:

cotss2012 wrote:The fact that it did not exist during the majority of the year is irrelevant.
It kinda does considering how the game coming out first gave it more time to become more widely known and acclaimed.

The fact of the matter is, between the two, WFC has been almost unanimously loved, while Prime less so. This site alone is littered with posts that say things like "I hate how they're trying to shove the amazing War for Cybertron game in with that awful Prime cartoon. The two should not be forced in together! :evil: " I myself don't think this, but many others here do.

In that case, however, it was reversed. While Green Lantern came first, it was met with mixed reception, whereas Captain America came later and was well received. It's a backwards comparison to this case.

If they were in school, War for Cybertron would be getting a "C" in every class, whereas Prime would be the Prom King and student body president.

However, let's see which one sells more toys in the end 8)

I haven't seen any such posts. Mostly, I see a lot of "Michael bay's movies suck" threads.
I do not blame Michael Bay for crapping all over a huge part of my childhood. He just directed the scripts that were given to him. I blame Orci, Kurtzman, and Krueger, who seem completely incapable of concocting a story that even halfway makes sense.
