Nemesis = G1
Slipstream = Animated
They're different, mmmkay?

Dude, you just insulted the entire TFWiki staff.cotss2012 wrote:...get a girlfriend. Seriously, dedicating your life to knowing as much as possible about elements of a franchise that even the hardcore fans don't know about can't be healthy.
Why should I? Why shouldn't I broaden my horizons? Why should I restrain myself from anything that isn't a toy, show, or movie? I am not that closed-minded. If I wanna read comics, play video games, read novels, go to conventions, talk and hang out with people, etc. then should have every right to do so.cotss2012 wrote:Stick to what's on store shelves and TV screens like Trekkies do.

There tons of staff members running that Wiki. If it were one guy, then there's no way he'd be human.cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Dude, you just insulted the entire TFWiki staff.
Not unless the staff consists of one person.
The fact of the matter is that these have been made well known for some time now. How could you not know of at least War for Cybertron?cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Why should I?
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious, but very well. I shall provide you with a new body, and new troops to command...

Exactly. So I didn't insult any of them.
You're not the only one who has to balance fan interests with real life. Still, WFC was the biggest thing of 2010. You're the first person I met who knows nothing of it, as it's currently widely regarded as the greatest Transformers video game of all time (I haven't even played it, yet I've still gotten to fully experience it). But as far as Transformers goes, 2010 was all about War for Cybertron.cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How could you not know of at least War for Cybertron?
I've been busy with watching Prime, playing Minecraft (though I recently re-sparked my Civ 4 addiction), posting on politics-related message boards/forums, finding a new place to live, learning Japanese, preparing the Halloween prototype of what will be my Comicon costume, and balancing all of the other things I do that prevent me from having a life. This geek cannot live on Transformers alone. I also have a few seasons of Code Lyoko that I've been meaning to watch for a few years now... and La Femme Nikita... and when that's done, maybe I can force myself to sit through the rest of Season 3 of the original Transformers.

The biggest Transformers thing. I figured I didn't have to use that word since this is a Transformers discussion on a Transformers website.cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:WFC was the biggest thing of 2010.

Sorry, but Darkness Rising came late in November-December (with mixed reception, BTW). For all the month before then, War for Cybertron reigned supreme.cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The biggest Transformers thing.
In that case, the honor goes to Darkness Rising.

He appeared in the European G1 catalog story "Predator Air Attack". As well as the IDW G1 stories "Megatron Origin" and "Last Stand of the Wreckers." One can have characterisation without air time.Burn wrote:G1 Stalker so that he can get some air time and a bit of characterisation!

One month =/= majority of 2010, which was what War for Cybertorn's publicity constituted.cotss2012 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Darkness Rising came late in November-December (with mixed reception, BTW). For all the month before then, War for Cybertron reigned supreme.
So? By the end of the year, all of the buzz was about Prime.

cotss2012 wrote:Prime is a more important, more widely known part of the franchise.
Yes, but it didn't become a hit until 2011.cotss2012 wrote:It started in 2010.
It kinda does considering how the game coming out first gave it more time to become more widely known and acclaimed.cotss2012 wrote:The fact that it did not exist during the majority of the year is irrelevant.
In that case, however, it was reversed. While Green Lantern came first, it was met with mixed reception, whereas Captain America came later and was well received. It's a backwards comparison to this case.cotss2012 wrote:You might as well claim that Green Lantern was "bigger" than Captain America just because it hit theaters first

The fact of the matter is, between the two, WFC has been almost unanimously loved, while Prime less so.
