I don't blame you. First, it was a Takara exclusive and secon, a VERY unpopular color because that was ridiculously REAL JET accurate only. The far wider G1 colored release hid the original into obscurity.
Sigh, it's WAYYYYY too late for me to have a Greenscream original. The prices are now ridiculously high.

MP3 is pricey, but his pal MP7 Thundercracker is even worse....-Kanrabat- wrote:I don't blame you. Funny enough, thats not a colour most F-15s have. They are mostly off-white, like starscream's actual colours. Here is the quote from the wiki:
In this pursuit of realism, the most visible concession to the Starscream's design was the abandonment of his traditional color scheme, replaced with an all-over greenish-tinged grey. Given that this color is inaccurate to most real F-15 fighters (whose Gunship Gray coloration is much closer to Starscream's traditional shade), the question of why it was changed at all is not an unreasonable one

At least three members of the core Seeker group (the original six from the first years of G1) must have a toy and share that mold
So, you can always throw in some riff-raff (acid storm, slipstream, etc) but you must have the core "critical mass" to effect that this toy and characters is part of the Seeker collective.
By the way, the little ol' classics mold really is timeless.
Yeah but then you realize that its not as straight cut as this. For instance does the Cybertron Starscream mold count? Because while 2 of the non exclusive redecos were called Starscream, one was coloured as Thrust, whch goes well with his fellow "conehead" Dirge:

Overcracker puts it well:
Overcracker wrote:The Voyager Cybertronian mold got repainted into Dirge and used Thrust like colors for Habsro's Starscream release, and into Jetfire colors for Shattered glass Starscream.
So does it count as a seeker mold? What if Takara decides to rerelease that Thrust coloured Cybertron Starscream and call is Thrust this time, does it retroactively become a seeker mold? What about the Armada mold, which has a blue redeco in Japan but its Starscream Super mode and not Thundercracker, does that count as a seeker mold?

And why are we going against what Hasbro officially calls a seeker all of a sudden?
Questions for others:
1. If a mold is made for Starscream and there are no redecos, is it a seeker mold?
2. If a mold of a jet is redeco'd a few times but never for Starscream, is it a seeker mold?
3. If a mold of a jet is redeco'd a few times and one of those times it's for a G1 seeker who is not Starscream, is it a seeker mold?
Just things I was wondering.

Its not too smal if your whole display is Generations deluxe Class, they even scale better with combiners thanks to that, check this out:

From the comments below, it seems we remember it well, but there was no place to talk about it in a discussion of the best seeker molds

Agreed. I have Starscream, but regret it.

If Starscream is in it and it's been repainted, it's a seeker mold?
Heh, why the hell not?
How about a non-traditional "seeker" mold that is universally acclaimed? HFTD TERRADIVE!

It's been repainted a few times and Starscream is right there in the middle. He even have the iconic cockpit chest!

Also, I don't care how simillar the coloors are with Thrust, Cybertron Starscream is Cybertron Starscream. The REGULAR version, not the supreme. That's it, that's all.

Re: Top 5 Best Seeker Molds Among Transformers Toys
The original Decepticon seekers that we saw in G1 consisted of clones, that doesn’t mean that being a clone is a requirement. In G1 “seeker” was a job, like an interceptor – seek out and destroy. It just happened to be filled with clones. The seekers were a special unit of air warriors. In G1 they were all clones, but if those 6 weren’t available then you would take any air warriors with the right capabilities and call them seekers.
Seekers are simply a special type of flyer, they don’t have to be clones. The Aerialbots all have similar body type and capabilities. They could have been called seekers if they were cons. I would not call Blitzwing, Vortex, and Starscream seekers, two of the three aren’t fast attack jets.
I would use this mixed analogy:
6 X-Wings = 6 seekers,
3 X-Wings and 3 A-Wings = 6 seekers
3 X-Wings and 3 Y-Wings = 3 seekers and 3 bombers
The strictest and most common use of the term is Starscream and clones. Just because this is the most common doesn’t mean it is the only definition. For a list of the best seekers it is good to have a set of parameters, and so I am good with WJ’s definition. But I would argue that seeker could be any attack interceptor flight mode Transformer, it doesn’t have to be the same mold. Like an F22, an F15, and a Harrier could be a group of seekers, but an A-10 Thuderbolt would not.
A cool mixed seeker group would be Armada Starscream, HFTD Terradive, and Classics Ramjet.
Transformers: War for Cybertron (360/PS3/PC)
Voice actor: Sam Riegel (English, Neutrals/Aerialbots), Ed O'Ross (English, Seekers)
Decepticon Fliers were nicknamed "Seekers" by Autobot infantry, while Autobot Fliers were nicknamed "Aerialbots" by the Decepticons. Fliers were part of Starscream's neutral forces aboard theTrypticon Station before they switched sides to work with Megatron. One of these Fliers, Jetfire, refused to work for the Decepticons and later appeared alongside the Aerialbots fighting for the Autobot cause. Besides the six identifiable Fliers for both sides (Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Jetfire, Air Raid and Silverbolt), a multitude of mass-produced Seekers and Aerialbots appear throughout the campaigns. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (3DS)
Seekers appeared in this game, a white version for Autobots, black for Decepticons. They were classified as Heavy Units. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (3DS)

Seeker (ROTF)
The Seekers are a type of Transformer from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.
The Seekers were among the first Transformers, characterized by their ability to traverse space. They were tasked with finding stars by the Dynasty of Primes to feed the AllSpark.
