I've heard such good things about these SS, I'd give them a try and I really don't like the look of movie Starscream.Ironhidensh wrote:I'll be honest, I'm pretty shocked there are people who consider the voyager movie mold good enough to make top 5.

Energon Starscream is the bees knees! I think he really belongs on this list. He's just a way better design than Classics, and borrows some great engineering from that Dreadwing/Smokescreen 2-pack.
I'm also a huge fan of the Generations Armada Starscream mold. He's a little dude, but oh-so-much fun.

Interesting, it seems we have different definitions of what makes a seeker mold. Maybe I could ask it for the poscast. I was under the impression that for a mold to be a seeker mold, it had to be redeco'd into other characters (hence the homage to the G1 idea/ruse). But Energon Starscream was never redeco'd into someone else right? So I wasnt sure that counted. Just like Leader Starcream doesnt count. I mean if he did, someone would have brought him up already, unless everyone preffers the voyager mold (which would baffle me). Food for thought.

megatronus wrote:Your explanation is interesting; that's probably how it started out. But in modern times I think seekers are a better defined grouping of characters, and new characters who are designated as seekers are often called out as such.
In TF: Prime, Starscream once mentioned he was the leader of a seeker squadron or some such think, and Dreadwing and Skyquake weren't called out in the same way.
But that's just my understanding; I can't say definitively that that's how it works. But my personal criteria is that if you are Starscream or a Starscream repaint (or retool - gotta include the coneheads!), you're a seeker.
For too long, DREADWING has lived in the shadow of STARSCREAM, but with the Seeker commander out of favor, he is more than happy to step into his rightful place at the right hand of MEGATRON. His power and intelligence have always been dangerous, but with the DECEPTICON legion at his command, the very survival of the AUTOBOTS is in question.
carytheone wrote:I think that we are just used to seeing seekers as traditionally being Starscream clones.

Hard to argue with official bios.

Well there you go !
So Megatronus knowing this now, and knowing that we both share the same opinion on that Dreadwing mold, does this list now work better for you?
Oh and Cary, I dont know if you have that cyberverse toy, but it is also awesome!

Delta Magnus wrote:You know, I thought of a potentially great looking Seeker trio (though it would need some Decepticon decals to cover up the odder symbols on some of them).
G1 coloured Energon Starscream as, well, Starscream...
With G2 Smokescreen as Thundercracker...
...And BWII Starscream- sorry, "Starscrem" according to those labels- as Skywarp...
Might be a tad difficult to get hold of them, but I reckon they'd look pretty great together.

The Robot Master Seeker mold is an utter disappointment. Such potential

No one should really be surprised by this. Beautifully designed and truly one of a kind. He was groundbreaking at the time and I still find him as impressive as current MP's.

Which figure is that?
