Case in point number two, Aerialbots leader Silverbolt. He's a Concord, a leader of the strongest autobot combiner teams and is afraid of heights. The bits of interjected humor in the movie fit with each character's personality for the movie. Bumblebee was meant to be a fairly young transformer, which means he's liable to do anything to get his point across... seeing as he couldn't talk. Didn't ruin the movie, just added symbolism.

you then neglect much of your arguement... Blurr, superfast hard to understand and just easy to laugh at. Gears so depressing it was funny. Bumblebee, well umm yeah every problem he got into was by some stupid yet funny act of his own or of Spike's. Letsee for Beastwars you have Scorkinok 2, who was always getting squished by some stupid container. Waspinator was the comic relief of the Predacon's crew, and Megatron's talking to himself... sorry thats just laughable in its self... "I talk to myself because I want to have an intellegent conversation." Megatron responding to Scorp when asked about his habit.
