the only funny character in beast wars was rattrap....

what was it...the agenda part II when the maximals face annihilation, the shields are about to fail and rattrap asks 'well, now what do you..."

Silverbolt responds..."given our proximity I breathe through my mouth"

Look...the worse thing that the writers could do is take the Transformers too seriously. then they would become the joke.

I saw the movie a second time today, and i really, truly appreciated the humor and brevity much more than after my first viewing. I've gone from thinking this was a good movie to this is an incredible movie.

by writers design it was meant to be a tad funny. One of the strongest characters still having his own flaws. Sorry, jokes are apart of the TF universe... case in point Wheelie. Case in point number two, Aerialbots leader Silverbolt. He's a Concord, a leader of the strongest autobot combiner teams and is afraid of heights. The bits of interjected humor in the movie fit with each character's personality for the movie. Bumblebee was meant to be a fairly young transformer, which means he's liable to do anything to get his point across... seeing as he couldn't talk. Didn't ruin the movie, just added symbolism.

yes but did you see how serious silverbolt was after the beast wars? I'm sorry but the only one that I can accept as "funny", is Rattrap.

Silverbolt in the Beast Wars is NOT the same Silverbolt in G1.

Now, Now..less not forget that Beast Machines was written by Bob Skir, who had absolutely nothing to do with the Beast Wars and single handedly nearly destroyed all the momentum that Beast Wars had created. Just look at how poorly the Rattrap Character was written in the short lived series. nthing like the original.

Sector 7 had the potential to be a cool plot point...but the movie could have been 20 minutes shorter and a lot better if they'd just cut out most of those scenes.

Look at the lead up to the movie with the sector 7 website, the touring truck, they came off as a genuine super secret organisation.

Then I saw the movie and realised they were simply a cheap Korean knock-off of MiB.

I would definately agree to a point. Sector Seven was completely disappointing, I read Ghosts of Yesterday and had expected Sector Seven to be as powerful as the book implied. To see them turned into a joke was rather disheartening. Simmons was pretty much one step of everything in the book, in the movie he was a robolubinal... But alas I still laughed, I admit it I found it rather funny the Bee was emulating a Ratdog.

I think all in all the movie was pretty good. I could have done with alot of things. But mostly it was good.
