Not sure what people would want with an cartoon version of this character...
There shouldn't be any extra... Anything-- molding, texture, random paint apps, etc. It's going to look plain.Yeah, and it looks terrible. Personally I preferred it when they took some liberties with the character models to make the figures actually interesting to look at (see MP-10).99% backpack?? That's some fuzzy math. What does that even mean? 99%????
Obviously hyperbole but it is excessive.I'll say I wish it didn't hang down so far, but even from a profile view it's not bad at all.
It really is. It's far too big, and probably means he has no torso articulation. As far as the cockpit, that's a really well-done render, but it's still a render... Making a surface look transparent isn't super easy, so it's not going to look real.
I'm hoping it's highly saturated with yellow-orange color, so loosely semi-transparent.
No, as in the cockpit on the chest is quite obviously not the actual cockpit of the jet- it's a "fake part".Overall, imo that's on point to where I see this being a pretty incredible figure.
This could be up there with MP-13 for me.

I meant it's very difficult to make it look like real plastic; whether painted or especially colored transparent plastic, when it's a 2D CG render.
I don't know if it'll be able to open, but yeah, the real figure will have a real looking canopy.
Black Hat wrote:I mean you do you. Personally, I'm of the opinion that they should have just cribbed the basic transformation scheme of the MakeToys MP-alike Seeker, given it did NO fake parts, was extremely articulated, looked cartoon accurate without being dull and wasn't wearing a massive backpack.

When was the last time we had that? Primal?

the shapes on these parts line up with the hinges on the folded wing flaps. more then likely these are part of the wings that pull out and are used to cover/hide/hold other back kibble in place.
