I was wearing my Decepticon hat out today while I went on my search for Transformers like I always do. Well, I stopped by Wendy's to get me some lunch when one of the employees says out of the blue:

I see you side with Megatron!

Not missing a beat, I responded:

Well, I'm really in it for sexy Starscream. What does Optimus Prime have? Ironhide? What's up with that?

That of course led to a short discussion about when the next movie is supposed to be out.

All in all, a very surprising but fun experiance! It doesn't take much to get me to talk about what I'm passionate about. A few days before, I had two other people ask me about my hat. I love that hat.

Has anyone else had any experiances like that with Transformers merchandise?

Did you get her number???

Heh. I'M the girl in this senerio. The employee was a guy. And as cool as you seem to be, I think my husband will be annoyed if I give you my number.

As for my beloved Decepticon hat, we got it at Hot Topic a few years ago. I don't know if they still have it now, but you can always go check!

I wear something TF almost all the time so I tend to get into discussions and whatnot with peopole. ALso I am known for turning one thing into a TF related thing. Like Warhammer, we had to scream out Autobots or Decepticons to decide who was the loudest to play the game. I loved it.

I usually end up telling parents about the toys, where to find 'em, the best ones, etc.

I’ve had it happen with my key chains. (one Autobot symbol, one Decepticon)

I wore my Starscream shirt to my dad's work (a church on an army base) and one of the guys who worked there told me my shirt was awesome (I'm a girl if you didn't know). Then he started talking about how he got his gf a Starscream and talked about his new Optimus Prime, etc.

Once we went to Cici's Pizza and I had just opened a Prime for my son (so I say that's who it's for) and a guy sitting next to us just nods his head and says "Optimus Prime" and I just gave him an understanding look.

I can just see that. All who would be spared during the invasion would have to either be wearing something with a Transformer on it or actually HAVE a Transformer with them.

I think my husband would wear the hat. I would loop a chain through G1 Ravage and wear him as a necklace. I think I would laminate then tape a Transformers faction symbol to my daughter's forehead as she doesn't really take care of her stuff yet.

I'm ready. Are you?

I wouldn't do that - he's like gold dust in my experience. Mine got nicked when I was a kid and I haven't managed to replace him yet (I want to pick upthe TRU reissue Soundwave when I can so I can get him and Laserbeak).

I sometimes wear my Bumblebee and Cliffjumper keychains hanging from a belt loop...

I went to a comic-book-type-stuff convention wearing my Starscream T-shirt when one of the vendors piped up "Oh, how it pains me to do this!"

Wanna know how I reacted?

I waited for him to follow with Megatron's line, then turned and gave him the best dang evil smirk I could manage and said, "Wanna bet?"

Makes me smile just thinking about it.
