Noideaforaname wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Is anyone else annoyed that they seem to have tossed out the bios and tech specs entirely for RiD packaging?
Yeah, but at the same time most bios are kinda crap. Basically "He's the best guy EVER!" over and over; grab another figure just to see if maybe, just maybe he's a little more interesting but nope, yet another "best guy EVER!"
And then sometimes the toy's bio doesn't even fit with the show's (see: Knock Out) and you wonder why you even bothered reading it since you've already been "sold" on the character anyways.
Sabrblade wrote:Well, when the first RID toyline came out in 2001, those toys didn't have on-package bios either. Instead, their bios were hosted on Hasbro.com.
Delta Magnus wrote:Looking closer at these, I'm kinda disappointed at how simplified these are. I wish Hasbro would divert some of the budget and love that's been given to the Generations line to the newer figure lines. The AoE toyline was hugely disappointing, and these don't look any better. Perhaps they've decided that anyone old enough to appreciate complex toy engineering won't care about anything that isn't GEEWUN (or at least a homage to an existing character/series). If so, that really sucks.New designs/series deserve just as much attention as ones from 30 years ago, if not more so.

And no faking transformation with extra car grills and cockpits. That stuff is insulting. If toy designers could engineer better than that in the 1970s, we can avoid those pitfalls in the 2010s. We have computers now, yo. No skimping, even if it's a simpler transformation.

Gotta wonder what "TAV" is short for if it might refer to the show's Japanese name.

i see....... prowl might become a decepticon due to the that prowl relates to a cat walking slowly and dreadwing? he might be resurrected due to the fact he was killed in prime by megatron with a fusion cannon due to him trying to kill starscream. but im not sure if this is true, this list.
Jetfire already exists as his own character.dreadwing95 wrote:fro the beginning i always thought that dreadwing would become jetfire. he just seems like that kind of guy

Roadblock might be Drift. Just going by the order of American releases.
I'm curious if Knockout and Dreadwing will be re-appearing in RID15. Knockout survived the events of Predicons Rising , and apparently turned Autobot (or at least joined the winning side).
It's entirely possible he may pop back up in this series. He could always be one of the escaped Decepticons. They could have a field day writing his reappearance. Having him suck up to Bumblebee and try to squirm his way out of being imprisoned.
Dreadwing could also show up. I know he died in Prime, but if Transformers died for good in every series...well, you wouldn't have any series.
