An article from Digital Spy reveals that Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen has a darker tone than the first film.
The director told the Los Angeles Times that the sequel is "less quippy" than its 2007 forerunner.
He goes on to praise Megan Fox on her improved acting ability.

I thought this was common knowledge. But anyway, I am happy for it, as this was what made the first one somewhat of a disappointment. Yeah, it was funny, but it didn't give a serious look at Transformers. Maybe this one will.
