Today I bought movie Bumblebee. I don't consider him to be a Transformer and certainly not Bumblebee, but a random transforming soldier that I'll use in my "Bad Mother Truckers" animations.

The car mode is nice. Gotta love the Camaro. Unfortunately, getting him to stay/look good in car mode isn't easy due to the side panels not fitting in place and useless spring gimmick releasing the nose when you don't want it to (and vice-versa).

Transformation isn't particularly hard, but getting him back into a car takes time. And if you don't follow the instructions exactly, I'm not sure if he can actually get back into car form.

The robot mode is terribly uninteresting. The missiles don't look so good, and there really should have been transparent plastic, like on the figure in the package photos. There's a lot of moulded-in detail, but most of it will be missed due to lack of paint apps. Personally, I don't mind - since I'm not looking for movie-accuracy, I feel that a bunch of yellow splashes would just look ugly.

Overall, I'm unimpressed. I can't wait for this guy to get shot up in my films. On another note, what is it with the movie figures feeling so 'cheap-looking'? The plastic and their weight really make them seem fragile, almost like
knock-offs...

Thank you! I feel the same way...the Protoforms made me doubt the quality of the movie line.

Let's hope the plastic used in Voyager Starscream will not suffer the same fate.

I got G1 snarl a few days ago (My first dinobot )and the classics Ultra magnus/Skywarp set yesterday.

I've never really bought a repaint of anything before and I don't think i will in the future, they look nice but i already had the prime and starscream molds and when i opened the pack and transformed them once, I got bored so up they went onto the display shelf.

my classics collection is building up nicely, all i need now is Mirage, grimlock and astrotrain (and if I really have to, cliffjumper.) never really finished a Line before so this may be the first.

This week I bought TWO Scorponok bodies to cannabalize off eBay. One arrived this morning. AND I bought a whole bunch of Scorponok parts tonight. And, if THAT was not enough...I bought YET ANOTHER Scorponok, MOSTLY complete, in near-mint condition.

This after losing out less than $5 for a complete Scorponok in the box tonight. That's the second one I have lost out on!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is indeed a KO. Or more specifically a remake. I've been looking into getting one of those too and they aren't licensed product by any stretch. They do look very nice though.

I got a bunch of new stuff today, biggest haul I've had since Botcon. I stopped by a comic shop today and picked up a BW Neo Survive MISB. He's pretty cool. I also attended the TF Midnight Madness event in Brandon, Florida tonight and picked up the Real Gear figures I wanted. Speed Dial, Spy Shot and Zoom out. All pretty neat little guys. I also bought some Robot Heroes, Magnus/Megatron, Prime/Ravage, and Bumblebee/Soundwave. I hate that they're so freaking cute. I hate that I'm compelled to buy them all. They are all so damned cuuute. Damn you Hasbro! So, good day for me, yaay.

Went to the same Wal*Mart today that didn't have movie merchandise out yesterday. Today I picked up deluxe Bonecrusher, deluxe Bumblebee and Barricade first encounter for me; Optimash Prime and cyber slammers Bumblebee for my daughters.

Got Bonecrusher so I can re-enact the highway scene with my voyager Optimus Prime. Wasn't going to get the 1st encounter but couldn't pass on the savings.

A shame I didn't get to see ya there. When my friend and I arrived, we didn't wind up hanging around long as some of the prices were pretty dang appalling, like the $100 Classics Soundwave.

I wound up plonking down $40 on the TRU Reissue Dirge, but that was it until we headed to Toys R Us later on and I finally bit the Movie bullet, purchasing Deluxe Barricade.
