Honestly I can settle for the Earthrise Seeker mold if, say, only Starscream gets redone and the 3-4 inevitable retools are Seekers we haven't gotten in Siege. Like the Coneheads, Sunstorm, Slipstream or the 'Welcoming Committee'. They are similar enough in robot mode from the looks of it to not bother me too much. >:oP

Yeah, for the Siege Seeker mold, I only bought Red Wing and the Rainmakers since I knew that Starscream and likely Thundercracker and Skywarp would be getting something else later.

Crazy, isn't it? 3 straight lines with a Voyager Starscream, and 2 of those 3 lines without a Bumblebee (with Earthfall undetermined, but I fully expect Bee to show up in this line).

That's because he is.

Specifically the previous generations iterations.

It's just because they chose not to squish cliffjumper's alt mode this time. But it's his original G1 alt mode. He turns into a porsche 924, while windcharger turns into a firebird. Two completely different cars.

yeah think it's cos I'm always expecting Cliffjumper to be a bee repaint...

both seem like fun but I'll be looking at either a thundercracker repaint or the coneheads for the seeker mould.
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

Well the new cards from today, with the new Mercenary faction? The promotional blurb/product description for them BLATANTLY STATES that Mercenaries are going to be a thing in the Earthrise line as well, it's even in at least 1 of the 2 articles about them on this very site, and the preorder descriptions from BBTS and TFSource for the Earthrise figures backs that up. I don't know about anyone else, but I think a Deadlock, Lockdown, or Detritus would be a welcome addition to this overall boring G1-again lineup we have so far, and would easily make up for how overall meh the line looks right now.

I know not everyone thinks the line is meh please don't focus on that part of the comment. :-$

Forgive me, I have been busy at work for the last day and a half, where does the TCG talk about whats going on in Earth Rise? And are we sure it doesnt mean the Earthrise section of the TCG?

Thing is, when the Twincast interviewed the head of rhe TCG they blatently came out and said they don't have an inside track on what Hasbro is doing. The TCG Ratchet (on an action card) we saw leaked was as much a guess because it was an obvious redeco of an Ironhide and we knew one was coming. Don't forget they did a Neeslnoae on the Siege Tetrajet, and there is no Needlenose in that line.

Do I want a Detritus? Oh heck yea. But unless something has changed since their interview, the card designs are just as much them having fun with ideas, and that came from the head honcho's mouth

Well the first sentence of the promotional material in the most recent TCG article on this site says:
TRANSFORMERS: TCG – WAR FOR CYBERTRON: SIEGE II MERCENARIES
(Ages 6 and Up/ Approx. Retail Price: $3.99/ Available: 11/08/2019)
The Mercenaries are coming to EARTHRISE product in 2020, but fans can get the first taste of them with TRANSFORMERS TCG - WAR FOR CYBERTRON: SIEGE II.

Then in addition, the last part of the product descriptions on the preorders from BBTS and TFSource (I haven't checked anywhere else) follow up with this:
As the battle rages through space, success depends on who can best adapt to the battlefield beyond. But it's not just the battlefield that commands adaptability. Allegiances can shift just as rapidly, with a new Mercenary faction introduced into the Earthrise world alongside the Autobots and Decepticons.

They also haven't announced an Earthrise segment of the TCG yet, these are specifically part of Siege 2, and the word choice of saying Earthrise product over Earthrise cards tells me that they deliberately want it to read as Mercs coming to Transformers content next year OTHER THAN the TCG. I absolutely understand your skepticism (I also really wanted that Tetrajet Needlenose to be real), but that sends a pretty clear message to me.

I never said the G1 designs weren't ridiculously dated, no disagreement there. But they are a hell of a lot more marketable to kids than the MTMTE cybertronian designs. Kids can look at Earthrise Grapple and know that it is an older style crane. Kids will look at MTMTE Jazz and ask, what the heck is that, a shoe? (Real feedback from a real kid on that comment.)

I don’t disagree that completely cartoon-accurate toys based on S1E1 Cybertronian designs would look odd. However, as Siege showed us, there is definitely a compromise resulting in futuristic-style cars and aircraft which, in my opinion, break the monotony of 80s vehicles. I want more from Cybertron.

I have to be honest, I'm not really feeling these figures. Wheeljack looks good. I also like the bot that has a shield as an alt mode. But the rest are either not that interesting to me. I wanted to like Ironworks but I dunno, it's kind of boring for it's alt. For some of the other bots, it just feels like we've already had better versions of them in the last several years.

People will still complain at the lack of Thundercracker and Skywarp. Especially since an earth mode voyager seeker is what everyone's been pining for since the original Classics line.

Why does everything need to be a retool? Can,t bots just get their own damn molds. We had decades of crappy Cliffjumper placeholders until we got this one. I wouldnt want the same crap with Sunstreaker and Tracks. We have enough placeholders as is.

William, you already know why.

My assertion is based on how they've "been" doing it, though.
Not nearly to the same extent in Siege, though.

Not sure how you figure that? The only molds with no retool are Jetfire and Omega Supreme.

Woah woah woah, the only mainline toy that got a retool when the original wasn't one was galaxy prime. For every other case in the mainline, if they were a unique mold in G1, they got their own mold. So, if we use siege as an example, if Sunstreaker is released in earthrise, he would be his own mold, since that's what he was in G1. Same with Runamuck and Tracks. The ones that are redecos are the same that were that way in G1 (seekers, Ironhide, and even Barricade since the G1 design they based it on was a retoold of a Datsun bro). So once again, I see no sense from customer satisfaction or the ongoing trend to have wheeljack be used to make bots that he does not share a body with. Same with Cliffjumper being used for a BB. I don't want it to happen. I expect similar transformations, but not a reuse of the molds.

Oh dear lord, I did forget Crosshairs, shows how forgettable he is. I truly hope the likes of sunstreaker and tracks would not go down that route. I am going to chalk it up to cropsshairs not being as well known as the ones we were discussing.

Gallery and Video for Transformers Earthrise Reveals and Hasbro Panel from #NYCC2019

Coming on the heels of our previous images of the new Transformers Earthrise figures revealed at the #NYCC2019 is our entire image gallery and video taken by our staff on the scene! Our troops also secured images and video of the Hasbro Brand Panel which had some awesome information on what we can expect next year from the line. Click on any of the images below to head to the corresponding gallery, and be sure to click the videos for the showroom display walkthrough and the Hasbro Panel. Enjoy!

Here's our Earthrise description from our previous article:

"Earthrise continues the War for Cybertron stories following Siege, and is the middle part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Earthrise features a return to more Earth based alternate modes, and drops the battle damage aesthetic that Siege utilized.

The new bots shown were Hoist, Grapple, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, Ironworks, Soundbarrier, Starscream, Optimus Prime as well as some Micromasters.

Here is what we learned from John Warden, concerning all these new toys.

The new gimmick is shields that can connect to base bots to make a bigger base.

While there will still be Battlemasters, there will also be armour based bots that will help build the bases with clear pieces. Soundbarrier, a new character, is who was on display to represent these new bots.

Starscream is based on the classics deluxe and thus the transformation will be almost the same.

Earthrise Prime shares parts with Siege prime but has a different Transformation. The matrix is removeable and he has silver hands.

Cliffjumper comes with the giant cannon he had in the G1 show for one episode. He fits in Optimus' trailer. Cliffjumper is his own mold and not meant to be Bumblebee down the road. You can add modular elements to him (same with Hoist).

Hoist can tow characters or attach to your mini cities and his robot mode can become a bridge like he did in G1.

Astrotrain will be rereleased in Earthrise packaging since he (and Omega) work with the new base building system.

Deluxes like Ironworks are called Modular Battlestations and in earthrise we will be getting the classic bases from g1 turned into partsforming bots."

The Hasbro Live Brand Panel gave some awesome surprises. Here they showed off the 35th Anniversary Optimus Prime and Megatron, Earthrise Starscream, and the double headmaster component for the next Titan, Scorponok!
