Rodimus Prime wrote:I'm sure this has been discussed repeatedly, but I don't feel like searching through 620 pages, so I'll ask here. Is it easy to remove the "battle damage" from the Siege figures? If so, what tools and/or cleaning agents should I use? This also applies to Kingdom Galvatron, but the Siege figures are the real offenders.

I keep resisting picking this up, because I bought three of the base figure, and the only thing I want from the box are the accessories. In particular, the shoulder pieces that form the top of the camera.

I thought this was up a while back. Both this set and the earthrise skywarp/TC 2 pack. Unless this is the third/fourth release of this set.

Not sure, I think this is more recent. The Siege Rainmakers are also apparently getting another run.

I never had Universe Hound, so I cannot attest to that comparison, but I will say that I think Hound is only held towards the lower/"weaker" end of Siege by people here just because he's kinda boring comparatively, not because he is at all a bad figure. The mold is good, the transformation is fun and integrates the legs in a cool way, he's got solid accessories, the main thing holding him back is the fact that he's just a good G1-ish Hound, which doesn't hold a candle to other Siege figures being the first Generations figures of the characters (Spinister, Rainmakers, Impactor, etc.), the first GOOD Generations figures of the characters (Ironhide & Ratchet, Tetrajets, Soundblaster, Refraktor technically), and new/reworked characters/concepts (Weaponizers, Barricade), since a good G1-ish Hound is something that came out before through said Universe figure.william-james88 wrote:Hey all, I was just wondering, with Hound being one of the weaker Siege toys, was the consensus that he was still better than the Universe one? So he's one if the better Siege molds by comparison to the rest?

You think Cog is weaker than Chromia?-Kanrabat- wrote:TlDr; the Cog mold is the weakest of the Siege line.

I'd say all things considered, he's lets say..."average." The the whole of WFC, or even just Siege he displays well. Maybe his transformation isn't "Cybertronian" enough, maybe you don't like how he transforms but he looks the part and isn't flimsy.
Interesting. I also own that mold via Nightbird, and I feel like the only good things I can say about it are "it is Nightbird and looks the part" and "I like the reconfigurable weapon(s)", compared to the negatives being it doing the fembot-with-a-90%-backpack-alt-mode design again, the weird thing where her waist plate comes off, it being hard to stand, the front of the car being difficult to work with (mine didn't break, but I'm constantly concerned it might), and (I assume this may just an issue with my copy) a flaw in the mold of one of my copy's "grenades" making it not stay together for the alt mode integration/storage. Cog may be on the weaker end of the Weaponizers for sure (I feel like Sixgun and Fasttrack are the only Weaponizers that are good in every mode, although I don't have Slammer yet), but I have never felt like part of him may break at any moment, and his alt mode at least looks the way it does for a reason (that being both to update the original Cog's kinda-nothing alt mode and to facilitate the Weaponizer gimmick), so I would absolutely put the Chromia mold lower.-Kanrabat- wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:You think Cog is weaker than Chromia?-Kanrabat- wrote:TlDr; the Cog mold is the weakest of the Siege line.
Definitely. There's 1 steps that make more efforts than Cog to transform. Even the G1 Jumpstarters have a more complete transformation than him.
I own the Chromia mold via Nightbird. Despite the very flawed design of the front hood of the vehicle (which broke on me, requiring a severe custom job to repair), the vehicle is still very good. Plus it's thinner with a reduced backpack due to removing the combiner port.
So, yeah, the Chromia mold could be considered one of the rare weak mold in the siege line mainly because of the ultra fragile front panel of the car. She's the weakest right after Cog.
