Ultimate Bublebee with pics

This fall, Earth’s first line of defense against the DECEPTICONS is here! The ULTIMATE BUMBLEBEE is the most realistic TRANSFORMERS toy ever with amazing detail and special animatronic features that bring the toy to “life.”

In car mode, BUMBLEBEE is an approximately 1/14 scale CAMARO concept with realistic car features. By rolling the vehicle you activate headlights and revving engine sounds. Stopping activates taillights and screeching brakes or crashing sounds

After you manually convert the car to robot mode, BUMBLEBEE stands an impressive 14” tall. With the touch of a button, robotic BUMBLEBEE comes to “life” with speech, music – featuring DEVO’s “Whip It”, battle and conversion sounds and fully animated head, arms and wings. BUMBLEBEE’s sound detection capabilities enable him to respond to noise, and he can also automatically aim and fire a missile.

Look the ULTIMATE BUMBLEBEE at retail this Fall for the suggested retail price of $89.99; Ages 5 & up.

Wow I freaking love it!....Just wish Hasbro could transform their own figures correctly. The front end breaks apart and folds forward so the headlights project outwards. Here they just folded everything down without taking the time to finish the transformation.

Surprisingly though, it makes him look more like a Transformer, funny how the little screwups improve the look of the figure.

For the figure itself, I said this in the other thread, it would be a good figure to have, however "Whip It" should never be included in any Transformer thats not a Soundwave Mp3 player.

And $90, no matter how good a movie toy looks, no way I'm spending that much cash on a movie figure, or any figure without the word "Masterpiece" infront of it.

There's only one more piece of info I need on this: will it be die-cast metal or entirely plastic? And will it be available in the UK or am I going to have to import it?! Hang on, that was two questions. Still two very important questions. $90 is a bit steep I think, but if it does all that it says it does (and does it all well!), and is a mix of metal and plastic like Transformer toys of yore, then I'm definately adding it to my wishlist!

If Hasbro have any brains at all (which beleive it or not I think they do) it will be mostly plastic.

Why not die-cast??! It makes a far better figure. All plastic will feel too light and too cheap.

It is also far more expensive, and far less practical, and it simply dosnt make sence to use it most of the time.

I was hoping the price of die-cast would be included in the $90 quote we have! Of course I don't want everything made of metal, it's just this Bumblebee is supposed to be 14" tall, I would have thought a figure of such size would warrant higher quality materials... then again I have no idea what one has to consider when making a toy... so maybe I'll just shut my mouth.

That is a very tempting possibility. I fell in love with that car (as I do with many American muscle cars!) the instant I saw it.

From the looks of the pics from toy fair the one we get will not be as detailed.. Im sure some of you had to notice that the BB in his box is alot less detailed then the one they had on display ... Whats that all about ? Look at the arm cannon, the one in the box has no detail and there is no autobot symbol on his chest... Maybe i missed something on an earlier post , if so clue me in lol .. Is one a Masterpiece ? Check the pics below..

Possibly they only had one completely finished and the other was just to show how it would be presented in a box?
