The deal that Megatron did with Unicron was a bad one on Megs' part but the deal with Starscream was very good. He resurrected him for the dead and gave him his own body back then promise him that he would be decepticon leader once more. He can get back his crown and robe to be Emperor screamer again only if he helps Unicron regain his body. Now wasn't that unfair?

I think the 2 deals reflect the situations Unicron was in. When he met Megs he was big and powerful and Megs was on the verge of death, it was easy to get him to agree to Unicrons terms (as he said himself "your bargaining posture is highly dubious"). But when he met Starscream he was just a floating head with almost no power left, where as Screamer could posess other TFs and use them to do his work, so Unicron was the one at a disadvantage in that deal.

Unicron never promised to make Starscream leader again. The deal was just for a new body.

Just because Unicron was all-seeing and believed he was all-powerful, he definitely wasn't all-knowing. I could have told him at the start that a deal with Starscream would never work out for his benefit, but he didn't really have any other choice to attempt in getting himself a new body.

Unicron could also have been lying. Once Starscream did what Unicron needed, Unicron would have given Starscream a new body, but would have control over him like he did over Galvatron. Something Unicron conveniently did not mention.

Exactly. Once Unicron has his body again, he's still going to want the Matrix destroyed. He needs a herald for that task. Like Galvatron, he's going to use Starscream.

I just had a thought about what happened to Starscream after he was chased away by Galvatron at the end of that episode...what if the Decepticons captured Starscream, took him back to Charr, and he's shackled and chained somewhere, constantly being tortured by Galvatron?

And Starscream would probably go mad like Galvatron, too.

It was stated in the planning for Season 4 of the Transformers that Shockwave, Starscream, and Blitzwing were going to return in an attempt to take control of the Decepticons away from Galvatron.

Beast Wars screwed up continuity from day 1 with what G1 was doing. Therefore, it only makes sense that the episode with Starscream's spark was wrong, but fit into the timeline they were using.

Starscream was alive the last time we saw him, hense, it is only reasonable to assume he was sly enough to escape Galvatron and live to return another day.
