I just tend to bitch about Hasbro in general, it's no secret I prefer Takara/Tomy products! I think the distribution of TF toys in the UK sucks. For example, I went into my local Smyths toystore last week and the only Classics they had were Megatron and Optimus. They never had many Cybertron figures either. I think Forbidden Planet is the only place I've ever seen Titaniums, and that's because they specialise in such merchandise.

Hasbro in general sucks. Poor Germany only just getting Cybertron? Poor barstards. It'll be years before they see Classics.

Hey Chaps,

Just reviewed my finances too and I won't be able to afford MP Megs *grumbles* Please can you take my name off the list.

I'd still like to see what price you chaps end up with as maybe this is a way to help each other out in the future?

Cheers,

Not sure if any of you are interested in KO's but i just found a KO Reflector off a Hong Kong seller called Jean_Paul_Valley on ebay, delivery included, for £20. Ive bought from him before and he has been ok, so im chuffed!

No idea how many he has in stock or what the quality is like (I dont expect perfection, just a bit of accuracy,) and as i refuse to pay over a ton for an knackered 80's original its good enough for me. He does have a few more, and i figured it only fair to inform my fellow brits first.

try him here http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrp ... cNQ5fQ5fSI

Note: dont expect perfection, but he does do a pretty good quality KO.

Wheelies Executioner? What an awesome name!! Good work, welcome to the disgruntlement!

and: Which of the classics toys (other than Megs and Jetfire) are worth buying then? I only collect Decepticons and occasionally really good Autobots, but as they have released shedlaods whilst i wasnt looking, I now have no clue which ones to get.
Suggestions please! :???:

His packing consists of a piece of card and some sticky tape though.

Possibly. When I got my WST KO getalts from him last year all the packing they had was a piece of card folded around them with a piece of tape over each end, not worthy of the £10 postage he charged. :?

Ive been ripped off worse by UK eBayers in the past and he sends them from Hong Kong so to me a tenner is tolerable.

Now to find a Shockwave for less than £20 and the Gen 1 Season 1 Decepticons are mine!

Can one get Shockwave for less than £20? Every time I see him he's £50+. That's why I plumped for Alt. Shockblast.

You could get action master Shockwave for under £20......

For an origonal shockwave the only way one would sell for under £20 is if it was a junker. Most likely both knee joints would be useless, the shoulders would be broken, electrics destroyed and battery cover + barrel would be missing.
I'm not sure how much KO Shackwaves go for but I'm certain a good condition one would be over £20 too.

I think you'll have a hard time finding a good condition Shockwave for that price, even the radio shack Galactic Man goes for double that.

I know they're Bots, but Hotrod looks great, even if he isa bit of a pig to transform and pose, and Bumblebee is a fricking minialtinator. I also realy like classics prime, he looks pretty damn powerful, and is easyer to pose than megs.

Steer clear of the ultimate battle set, simply not very good (although primes robot mode is a vast improvment on rm convoy's, the alt mode still sucks donky balls, and megs would be really nice, if it wasnt for that goddamn twirly arm gimmick that does nothing good).

As for the cons (I currently have)... well, both Astrotrain and Starscream are a little disapointing in all honesty. Megs is very nice though.

Im expecting the UM v SW pack to arive sometime from the US. Ive heard tell SW looks a LOT nicer that SS.

Avoid the minicons like the plague, they're ****.
Avoid the leg ends like the plague, they're lazy, and not particularly apropriate (cyb prime = menasor? I think not).

I don't really think there are that many tfs in Classics. As far as I'm concerned, only the Deluxe and up count. So that's Prime, BB, Hotrod, Grimlock, Mirage, Cliffjumper, Skyfire and UM for the good guys, and Megs, SS, Astrotrain, SW and Devastator for the bad guys. Not really that many.
I'd say buy them all, but it really depends on how finicky you are. And I know some people here are so anal about the design of tf toys that they only buy one tf every blue moon.

I didn't make a mistake Red. No matter what they call him now, he will always be Skyfire to me. The name Jetfire just sounds so...crap.

A case of preference I believe.

Lets hope High Command doesnt see that, Lord Crump, this is the British thread, over here he was called Jetfire in everything but the 'American' toon...

As for a Shockwave for less than £20, i know its not likely, but i have spies everywhere and im a patient man. I refuse to pay more than £50 for him, especially as thats what i need to save for MP05 Sexatron when its released in all its ass kicking evilness.

Cheers for the classics run down Red, None of the classics I have seen in the shops have really jumped out at me other than classics Megs and that simply becuse he is a gun again, even if he has been nerf'd (what a crap everquest joke that makes...), i have him on order from forbidden planet here in sheffield and will pick it up lunchtime today i hope.
I think ill look for a Mirage as the G1 version is impossible to get and I hear jetfire is pretty good too. :P

Oh, and no worries, there is no ****ing chance im wasting money on more minicons! I have a Unicron full, that is enough... LOL!

ps: Top Gear on Monday. Was that not the funniest show ever? Clarkson should be made our fine nations diplomat to the yanks!

I think I'll melt my minicons down into a ball, and give it to my dog. It'd certainly clear some space.
It'd be one exspensive lump of plastic too...

:HEADHURTS:

Indeed. A case of preference for the correct name (Jetfire) over the copout name (Skyfire) used only in (two episodes of) the toon for a complicated legal reason, which also meant that the character couldn't look anything like the toy.
I perscribe a regular dose of transformers comics (marvel UK material if possible) to cure this tragic affliction.

PS For all your Top Gear needs I've started this wonderful thread.

IMHO Skyfire sounded awful. :P

I'm looking through for a Gen 1 figure that tickles my fancy - the figure at the top of my list is Double Dealer. That guy kicked serious A.

Shockwave - now that would be very difficult get for less than £50. Then again, it might be only a matter of time if that KO company brings him out.

Potentially they can, yes. You could also add Omega Supreme and (I think) the Deluxe Insecticons and Roadbuster

If they had ANY sense at all, they would be re-relasing them all over the place - Omega supreme would make them a fortune, and Roadbuster (no Whirl?) would be a great toy to get.

Was Swoop not one of theirs then?

[RANT] What is the problem with the Yanks and this orange cap on MP-05 Megs?
So they gotta modify it slightly to get it in the country or they will be arrested, what is the big deal?
Its hardly going to alter the fact that this is the first new release of a realistic gun transformer in two decades, Megatron is finally getting the MP treatment, and considering how gun happy those people are they are lucky to be allowed it at all.
What the hell were they expecting? for it to work as a real gun?

Have they never heard of silver paint?[/RANT]

He dose dosnt he. Lots of fun, I was very glad when I managed to get him (complete with both PMs, both parts of the missile and chest bit) a while ago.

I wouldnt mind Punch/Counterpunch sometime, though he always seems to be a little too expensive.
