I believe Shadow Panther is some variation on the Transmetal Cheetor figure.

Shadow Panther is a black repaint of Beast Wars original Cheetor. Difficult figure to find but not highly prised as I'm aware, but a nice figure. Was like Ravage only released in the US and Japan so there are few in the UK.

I used to be a Beastwars unbeliever and now I'm not so sure.

The graphics aren't great, but the story is pretty good.

Still prefer the cheesiness of the Gen 1 'we're going to advertise this toy today, kids' series. :P

Galaxy Force Backgild arrived yesterday :D
Had no luck at all finding a decent priced Defense Scattorshot.

Good luck on that Shockwave auction.

Might be a good idea to ask the seller if the lights work, as he only mentions the sounds.

It's not easy to come by a loose unbroken SW with battery cover and sides that haven't split, the hose looks to be OK too.

Ive seen no evidence of this 'brilliant story' everyone is on about, all i saw were single episode stories that were painful to watch, both cuase they didnt make sence, and cause the animation was horrible.

In short, BWs has never managed to engage my interest anywhere near long enough for any of its (suposed) good points to ever emerge.

I used to think exactly the same, now I'm a convert.

My advice is watch "The Agenda" 3 parter. If that doesn't suck you in, fair enough, Beast Wars isn't for you and at least you will have then given it a better than fair chance to win you over.

From what I've heard thetf.net has been hacked. no news yet about when/if it'll be fixed.

Sounds like a good deal to me. If you don't want Shadow Panther once he arrives I'll buy him off you.

This is what he looks like BTW.

News to me. Since all the related sites are down (thetransformers.net, thetf.net, transformersthemovie.com, whatdvd.net, transformersdvd.com etc.), I'm guessing it is a server thing.

BTW, any UK sightings news. February (again) seems to be a barren month.

EDIT: Just found this on the IDW forums:

*Waves*

We've got server troubs, so we're undergoing maintenance. ^^ TheTransFormers.Net is down, too.

EDIT: We're actually undergoing drastic site redesigns too, actually. New forum and everything. I don't know about how far we can promote it on forums in the fandom, but it'd be nice to get some sort of 'press release' as it were. Any ideas?

There is some truth to this, since we were redesigning the site to include lots of new content, but don't know anything about the new forums. I don't recognise the username though.

Indeed. Once you get past the kiddy aimed first few eps, it strengthen immensely. My fave series ever and I used to be dyed in the wool G1'er.

I refuse to spend money on an entire series of a show ive not liked EVERY episode that ive ever seen of (few that they may be).

Never really had any problem with the actual concept, though much prefere mechanical alt modes cuase it makes more sence (also a lot of the beast wars toys are uglyer in robot mode than armada sideswipe, and thats UGLY)...

Hmm, I wonder if that means all the old forums will disappear? There was a chap on the Sale/Trade forum that I was doing a number of trades with.

Well it's back now so it doesn't make much difference but I asked Perceptor about it and that was what he told me a couple of days ago.
