I've just had confirmation from Toyspark that my 2 MP Megatrons have shipped.

Shouldn't be long now.

"He rawks" counts as an opinion doesn't it?

For a longer review:

He's big and shiny. He's got a reasonable amount of die cast and better use of it has been made then on Screamer. Mine (and AK's as far as I know) don't have any QC issues, which I was worried about considering all those people who reported problems with Screamer.
The extras are all nice to have in the set and despite my earlier reservations on him not having a silencer and stock, I now can see what folly that would be as with stock and silencer attached he'd be between 3 and 4 foot long!
Transformation is reasonably complex, but not difficult. He transforms in a very similar way to G1 Megs but has some intelligent changes made to that transformation, most notably the trigger.
His proportions in robot mode are the biggest downside. Like G1 Megs his fusion cannon is massive compared to the rest of his body. Also as we all knew from the online pics, his legs are quite skinny but not dreadfully so. I'd also say that his head/face is a wee bit on the thin side.
A few of the gun parts (on his hips and upper arms) will come off quite easilly during transformation as they are on ball joints, but are easy to reattach.
Articulation is good and the metal feet will help wiegh him down for those who will keep him in dramatic poses. Even so with the huge fusion cannon and skinny legs he has a danger of being top-heavy so be careful with posing as he might fall.

On TTT (and Neo Kaon for RDD members) AK has posted his own gallery of Megs. He would have posted it here too, I'm sure but getting banned tends to get in the way of these things...

He Rawks certainly counts as an opinion, but glad you put more meat on the bones :D

I just need Timban to get his though and I can get my hands on my own MP Megs.

I can't wait.

Me three... Cant wait for him!

On another note: It's Monday, which means its the only day of the week I finish work before the shops close, which means it's....

REDIMUS'S WEEKLY TF HUNT!

This never takes long, but today was better than most of recent times.

First I went to woolies, they had nothing I particularly wanted, but it may interest some to know what they DID have;
Classics:
Voyager Prime
Voyager Megs
LoC Perceptor
Minicons (the set with the bird)

Titianiums:
LOADS of 3inch ones, mostly G1 Prime.

Alts:
Swindle
Silverstreak
and much to my surprise
Dead End!

I then went to argos, and they FINALLY had some Titianiums!
I ment only to get Rodimus.... But a sudden, and short burst of utter insanity ment I also bought Soundwave... D'oh!
I also checked the Deluxes to see if they had any of the newer classics, they didnt even have the older ones, only one they had was Cyb Skywarp.

I would have checked out Home Bargins too, but I only check there as a last resort, and they've had nothing tf related for months.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Rodimus is a work or art. My only complaint at all is that the chest tends to open when you are trying to pose him, which sets of a chain reaction, and before you know it, you Rodimus looks more like a poorly asembled K'Nex set.

Soundwave is Apauling, and can only pull one pose that isnt aweful, and that's pretty bad too, and really hard to balance. Everybody knows about his leg issues, but also the legs dont locate properly in alt mode, meaning they dont sit flush with the rest of the alt mode..., which it's self is f**king aweful.

This is getting silly, if I didnt know any better I'd say all the ODBs are either no long Disgruntled, or have actully got something better to do... I can see either case being true...

I like being disgruntled, it goes well with my apathy and cynicism :P

TBH I haven't had much to post about recently but it doesn't mean that I don't want to hear what my fellow Brits are disgruntled about.

I suppose the latest thing is me waiting on my MP Megatron, but I have the distinct feeling that I won't see him for a couple of weeks if Timban doesn't get them by Friday.

At the moment I would love to track down MP-02 Magnus, but thanks to the seatbelt in the car failing I'm £250 down this month and can't spare the remaining pennies in my bank account. :-x

Well, it's now April and I have no idea what to buy. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about Cybertron Down Shift or Dark Scorponok. Are they worth it?

I want Classics Ramjet, but no sign of him.

I can't find anything I want to buy, really. KO Ratbat and Frenzy? G1 Megatron? Tripredacus? Magmatron?

None.

AK ordered two of them from an ebay seller. One for himself and one for me. Both passed customs without any problems. I didn't think the gun issue would be a problem, just him getting held hostage and stung for extra import charges, but luckily nothing came of it.

To Leo: The KO Frenzy Ratbat sets are a load of crap. Frenzy is alright except for the bad quality stickers. Ratbat on the other hand is floppy as hell with every joint flapping around loose. They all have silver weapons instead of the toon/comic accurate gold ones. Furthermore mine has stress marks on some of the joints and the final insult is that he's missing an ear. :-x

I'm baised on Gen 1 stuff so all I can say is pick up Megatron :D

Sure he's not particularly articulated, but he has lots of chrome and the TFC re-issues seems readily available. Mmm shiny chrome! 8)

At the moment I'm picking random figures - such as MP-02 or perhaps the remaining Gen 1 tapes that I don't have.

Much appreciated, I'll cross those off of my list.

Tempting. I did just get Classics Megatron, though, and I don't have a G1 Optimus Prime.

I've just ordered Ramjet from Play.com,
He's in stock and reduced to a tenner :)

I'd link you to him but as you can type and work the interweb he's not to difficult to find. (and I can't remember how to put links up...)

Cheers,

Last PM I got from Timban he said he hoped to have Megs delivered before the easter weekend, so you might *just* get him in time... maybe...

This is going to send terribly fussy, but he's a bit small, isn't he? I always wanted a Rodimus that was at least the size of Classics Optimus.
