Considering how essential he ended up being to the overall story (a Tripredacus council agent) I'd say he's a high profile character deserving of recognition.

Indeed. If he were a Maximal (or had Robo-boobs) he would have been in the MP line already.

Plus, I don't think I've ever seen a good toy for him.

Controversial. Given myself and others have noted TM Tarantulas is one of the best figures in the entire line.

I didn't say there weren't any just that I don't remember seeing any and I was right, I don't remember that one.

That Transmetal Tarantulas is my favorite Predacon toy, it's just so good! Outside of some extra swivels for the limbs, I don't think it could be improved on

Speaking of designs that can't be improved on, I've decided to expand my almost completed variant collection (I'll probably regret doing this). I've started with this guy:

He is on his way. Meanwhile, when he arrives I have a choice to make. To call it a day with him or go deeper down the rabbit hole:

Crazybolt (Base Iguanus redeco)

Red [base] Spittor

Diver (Green Base Spittor redeco)

Slapper (TM 2 Spittor redeco)

Unlike Reptilion, none of these are cheap. At time of writing, Crazybolt came in at the most expensive to source. I also keep forgetting I still have to get Hellwarp, to complete my Shark Bot collection also.

Yes, another from the Universe set. I'd never really heard of Universe until I started sourcing the redecos. Especially the Cyclonus Armada I put together.

I think I was trying to convince myself that I won't complete these molds... knowing fully well that I will.

What's confusing with Universe is the fact they reused the name for the continuation of the Classics ideology. The redeco of TM2 Megs was either released in Universe or Rid 2001...can't quite remember now. You even going to go after the Botcon stuff? Like Arcee

No. The Botcon stuff is far too overpriced. I considered it when I was going to go for the four variants of the Car Robots Gigatron mold, but far too cost prohibitive.
Spittor and Iguanus are the last of my Modern BW collection that I didn't go for all their redecos before. I'm just lucky there isn't a Botcon variant for either of them...

Should have been TM 2 Megatron (Twin Headed Dragon altmode only). Gigatron was such a good figure in Car Robots. If it had been the other way around and he had been a redeco of Megatron, I doubt many would have complained.



This one [Deathsaurus] is the most expensive of the four though. As he only comes as part of a boxset (Descent into Evil)

Indeed. I thought the seller was a bit cheeky to charge that much. It does make me laugh the Beast Wars figures sellers state as being "Ultra Rare". Second and Neo figures, perhaps. Transmetal 1 or 2, absolutely not.

Agreed on the ultra rare categories. I have seen some truly funny ones over the years, both sellers not realizing just how rare/valuable the figure they were selling was, and overestimating the rareness/value of the figure.

My late Beast Hunters Predaking comes to mind for the former, $5 for a figure constantly going for $100

I've seen several of them as well, sometimes lion Prowl on his own. Silverbolt on the other hand... Well I think we know why there's less of him compared to his brethren.

I tell you what's annoying through, the beast machines Maximals.

Buzzsaw seems to be consistently around $10 shipped, but Hammerstrike and Nightviper are around $50+. that's nuts that those 2 are so highly sought after

I have a Hammerstrike... It isn't worth 50+ in any currency. Still, you can always console yourself with one of many, many BM Cheetor listings. Also surprisingly cheap

From what I understand they had better-looking toys than the show characters, and of course they don't have the screen accuracy problem hurting them.
