OK, I watched the movie for the second time and noticed 2 things:

None of the bots or cons ever talk when they are in vehicle mode. Why not? It would be sort of silly if they needed to transform to talk. I mean, why didn't Barricade try interrogating Sam about the glasses when he was a police car, or why didn't the Autobots talk a little while they were cruising down the roads?

Why did the autobots just SIT AROUND in car mode? I can totally understand inactivity if they are disguised as a car, like bumblebee was for much of the movie... But at times it was just ridiculous. During the final battle, Just after Bumblebee had his legs blown off, there were several shots of Jazz just PARKED. He wasnt fighting, or driving anywhere or even expressing concern for Bumblebee. He was just SITTING THERE until Sam said "MOVE OUT OF THE WAY" or something and he finally backed up. Next time you see the movie check out this odd scene.

Also, the final scene with the autobots all sitting on a hill in vehicle mode, except optimus. WHEN do transformers ever just sit around in their alt modes? I cant think of any time in the comics or cartoons that they just sit around PARKED UNLESS they are "under cover"... If Optimus was a robot in that scene, I see no reason his men would have been just sitting around as cars.

The Decepticons transmitted messages to each other while in vehicle mode once the Autobots had the AllSpark. Bumblebee communicated through his car radio when playing matchmaker for Sam and Mikaela. Barricade did attempt to interrogate Sam with those probes coming out the front of the car, but a menacing robot will get more results. When in vehicle mode these robots are disguised; wouldn't a talking vehicle blow their cover?

BTW, in the BK commercial Prime does talk while in truck mode.

I was a little dissapointed inthat too. I wanted to hear some convos going on. Otherwise it was just vehicles.

BUT, i do understand if it was a budget thing. And I mean, it's not expensive to stick a few parked vehicles around, might add to the scene for a normal viewer, but to some of us nerds it's not good enough, but I do understand why, if that was the reason.

I think it's more what would work on screen versus what we've seen in the cartoons. They probably thought it'd look ridiculous, especially to the non-fans they are trying to attract.

I guess shots from inside the vehicles could have worked, but oh well. maybe next movie.

The cars in those scenes were REAL cars. So they don't talk.

The robots are CGI. So they hire voice actors to talk for them.

Apparently, Bay didn't learn enough about transformers. So he kind of missed out on a lot of small details that we, trans fans, would easily take note of.

Bay good for action stuffs. But still not good in story telling.
