The robots were pretty piss poor too- they all looked the same and transformed the same and had those weird tiny feet. Even nostalgia couldn't get me to buy the classics (Starscream, Grimlock, Bumblebee). I even liked the idea of the ultra Pretenders where the shells would transform too, but those were just as bad if not worse.
P.S. I thought the more recent comicbook take on the Pretenders was freakin' awesome. Great idea, cool characters, but terrible figures.
