My friends and family think I am quite insane for "still playing with toys at my age", but I DO NOT CARE what they think! I love my TFs and I could care less what they think of them! Some people collect crazier things than that and display them to the world.....after all, there are lot more dangerous things a person could be addicted to!
I would LOVE to have a significant other who collected TFs as well, although it is not a prerequisite, they MUST at the very least, tolerate my passion with some sort of decorum...if not totally share in it with me (latter most preferable!)...all my exs either enjoyed it but didn't collect or had their own collections (my ex-husband collected Beast Wars TFs and my ex before that had his own sizable G1 collection). As far as "geekiness", I find that quite nice....."geeks" are my type of people, since I am a HUGE one myself!

I agree! We decorate our house very tastefully with Tfs and comic oriented stuff and it makes me smile everytime i look at them. There's no reason anybody should'nt display and be proud of there collections, whatever they are. I just wish i had enough space to display all of them, but i just had to pack away the entire Cybertron line to make room for my G1s and newer Tfs figures. They will be missed! And everyone has there thing wether it be Tfs or other. I say life is to short and you only have one be happy and live it how you see fit!

Well, a few things here. When you have kids involved obviously you have to take a long look at your priorities.
Of course, you could always tell her that you want to pass these toys unto your children.
I think we've all been where you are in terms of overspending a bit, hopefully you can find a way to enjoy your hobby and still take care of the things that matter more.
