What ever happened to Cyclonus and his...

armada?

You know in the original movie as Unicron resurects the cons he creates Scorge and says "Scorge, the traker, and his sweeps!"
Then as he creates Cyclonus he says "Cyclonus the worrior and his armada!"
Then we see a few drones that look like him, they enter the ship.
What happened?
Were are they?

I believe the general consensus is it is an error carried on from an idea that was supposed to be left out of the movie. Where Cyclonus would have smaller versions of himself as an "armada" much like Scourge's sweeps. It was never supposed to be there so we never see the "armada" again.

Having said that though. I always thought the armada referred to everything Unicron just created. Like Cyclonus was in charge of Scourge, the sweeps, and his own clone, thus creating his armada.

That is also a good idea, and it's also true, cos he's seconed in comand!
Maybe that was what armada refered to, but I think his own army of minimes would have been cooler.

Multiple Cyclonus's also appeared in one of the original movie posters. I can't find a pic of it, but it's the one with Unicron in robot mode, and has Prime in it too, and Starscream.

To be fair.......that comic was produced and printed long before the movie was any where near finished.Just look at the design of the Matrix and you'll see what I meen.

Found the pic I mentioned today while doing some surfing between classes, and remembered this thread. It was from the back of the movie sticker book(which I have, but is all old and wrinkled), but I thought it was official since it was in the Soundtrack CD:

That's not multiple Cyclonus.... That was depicting his transformation...
The posters from the G1 era depicted transformations by showing the various stages..

My instory explaination for the dissapearance goes:

The second guy was called Armada and was created from Skywarp. He kept the teleportation from his old body but didn't know how to work it and accidentaly teleported himself somewhere he couldn't escape from, like the centre of a star.
