What TF line would you like to see animated? Classics? SW:TF? Real Gear?

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

What TF line would you like to see animated? Classics? SW:TF? Real Gear?

Postby Dark Starscream » Tue Sep 18, 2007 9:52 pm

There are a lot of TF lines out there right now. Of all of them, which one would you most like to see to get its own series?

1) Real Gear
2) Series based on Transformers the movie (2007)
3) Star Wars Transformers
4) G1 Classics
5) Transformers Cybertron (continued)
6) Transformers Universe
7) The War Within
8) Beast Wars Returns
9) Robot Masters
10) Kiss Players

Personally, I would love even a comic series (American) based on the above TF lines. :-?

I would've posted a poll, but I don't know how to do that here.

A Real Gear series could have potential if it were made as 3-5 minute episode series aimed at the very young, in a quasi-educational style.

War Within would be alright, but will never happen thanks to all the DW hubbub.

Universe would also be good as a series, especially if made more like Beast Wars in terms of target audience and themes.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

If it were the TF2007 style, I'd want Real Gear added in as a minibot sort of thing. Spys hidden amongst humans far better than cars and jets and whateverthehellMegatronwas. Classics would be good, kind of a continuation of G1/filling in the gabs between Season 2 and the proper movie.
War Within would be my pick though. Get Don to design any other bots that need done, give us toys of it. Have the whole thing set on Cybertron in the early days of the war, a couple of million years ago. They could even ship some folks off to Earth if they needed some quick BW repaints/rereleases. Wouldn't really be a difficult line to do, and the cartoon could be very interesting. Start it off with Megatron declaring war, a kind of Cybertronian 9/11 type attack and there you go, great set-up for a planetary civil war, with all the bots choosing sides (not always successfully at first).
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

1. Real Gear is part of the movie line
2. The movie should definatly have it's own series.
3. No comment
4. I'd love to see a series with the Classics.
5. Cybertron allready had a series. I thought this was about making a NEW series not continueing an old one.
6. Don't like Transformers Universe. Too many horrible repaits. Most of the line is like neon purple.
7. I would love to see this series mainly because it would take place entirly on Cybertron.
8. Beast Wars Returns allready is a series. That the Japanise title for Beast Machines.
9. Look up Robot Masters on You Tube. Nothing offical but there are some preddy nice fan videos of that line.
10. NO

What about Transformers Alternators? That toy line would make a great live action series (and would look better than the movie) the cars allready look like real vehicles all they need are the full sized ones and CGI robot modes.

it's not a line but there was a one prototype that I know of.
Transtech anyone? I choose that in place of beast wars returns.
Since Beast Wars returns is Beast Machines.

I would also like to see a classics or universe show.

From what I have read about it on Wikipedia, Universe sounds like it would be a darn good cartoon.

Avast, th' Robot Masters vids 're official. Two animated DVDs came with th' Robot Masters toys. Th' vids on YouTube 're jus' fandubs.

Classics technically had a series, but if we could see G1 redone, it'd be seaworthy.

Me candidate? War Within. A War Within animated movie, direct t' DVD. That'd be hearty, mate.

Y'arrgh.

A SW:TF animated series isnt too possible, as it wouldnt tie in to the SW continuity.
Real Gear seems okay, but not too much potential.
Universe ought to be made into a animated series tho.

Real Gear could be fairly cute, actually, depending on how it's handled.

As for continuing a series, I would love to see more Armada, or maybe some sort of OVA that takes place between the end of the series and Energon. As long as it's ANIMATED, not CG'd. Ugh.

Kissplayers, if handled right (and possibly toned down just a little) would make an interesting anime. Most people wouldn't dig it, but some would.

And yeah, a Classics or Universe animated series would be pretty cool, too.

A Star Wars/Transformers crossover would absolutely rule.

Since Star Wars takes place a long time ago, then maybe it could be set in the War Within era, with War Within Megatron and Shockwave bartering TF technology with Palpatine for Death Star technology.

We might even get a Unicron/Death Star showdown!

In terms of something animated, DTV or otherwise, I wouldn't mind seeing either a Transtech/Universe fusion of some kind, or just plain War Within. War Within seems unlikely given that we're already getting the whole "newbie Optimus" thing with TF Animated, but I wouldn't mind SOME excuse to get those unproduced Titaniums of Shockwave and War Within Bumblebee.
I got yer new Captain America right here!

I would say Classics, but one thing brings me over to War Within - no Humans! It's been foreven since we saw a no-human Transformers series (Beast Machines?)
