Well, as the speed of my collections' expanding goes, I will be 80 when I will have each G1 (I'm now 21)

And, of course, if they will be discontinued...

Obviously I'd save a good amount of monies that I can save and invest.

But everything really depends on where I am in my life when that occurs. If I am married with kids but financially well off I won't sell them. BUT if I am hurting I'd liquidate everything I have no questions or regrets when your kids and wife and suffering your personal possessions do NOT mean sh*t.

All things being equal I'd rather keep them and pass them along or at least enjoy them for myself. Odds are though the TF franchise will last for quite some time. I personally do not see it ending anytime soon b/c of the strong demand. BUT... one day I do see it coming to an end, question all of us should ask is where will I be when that day arrives? :-?

If the Transformers came to an end, I'd be happy... Not in the "YES! It's finally over!" kind of way, but in the "this gives me the chance to finally save money & get all the figures I've always wanted!"...

Then, after 10-20 years, I'd be gearing up for the -new- incarnation of the "Transformers" concept to come out, as it's already happened once (G1-Beast Wars-the 'new stuff')...

I'd probably finish up my G1 collection and a few odds and ends I missed from other series and wanted... Then I'd just accept it was over.

If Hasbro still exists I'd expect them to try and revive it down the road with good or bad consequences.

I like to think I'd have the strength not to start buying other toys, but I might.

I don't mean to sound bleak, but Transformers will continue well into the future unless a worldwide, doomsday event strikes humanity. I'm serious - either we'll be suffering due to lack of action towards global warming, or some other disaster will hit us and we will have serious problems to worry about. Transformers won't be one of them.

Sometimes I feel as if we are partying on a crowded train heading straight off a cliff yet nobody is looking out the window (or they are looking, but not doing anything about it).

Transformers have been going for 25+ years. The day Transformers are discontinued is the day Hasbro or Takara cannot produce them due to catastrophic circumstances.

Even if the Transformers line was discontinued it doesn't matter. We the fans will keep the spirit alive until the last of us crumbles into dust.

Well, Hasbro and Takara have already released the ultimate transformer in MP Prime. I'm pretty much fulfilled.

I'd be sad but I'd also be relieved. Transformers is on a downward silde IMO. I've become more than a little sick of the constant churning out of the same old characters in perpetual G1 nostalgia how lontg will Hasbroattempt to sqyess new life out of G1? The movie tried to reinvent the franchise but in the process forgets to give them any personality. Unless Transformer Animated turns out to be a truly inspired new take on Transformers that breathes new life into the franchise I'll be leaving the hobby anyway.
