I'd die of deep, everlasting sorrow, knowing there are no more Transformers.

But seriously, though I doubt TF's will end in our lifetimes, I'd probably just finish up the figures I haven't collected yet, then move on to something else, like Gundams. Yeah, I said it. Gundams. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Seriously, I'm not dissing Gundams. I just like TF's more.

I think they'll be around for a long time, I've had transformers for the last 23 years. Their dynasty will never end.

I thought this actually happened back in the late 80's and early 90's and was disappointed, but still had my collection of toys to look back on and remember why I enjoyed them so much.

Once TFs came back in full force I was pleased that new fans could join the fold and even better toys would be made. The addition of Beast Wars and Beast Machines made me realize that Transformers could be so much more than what I loved as a kid and really fueled most of what we see today.

If Transformers truly ended tomorrow I would be disappointed again but could honestly say they had a great run.

I'll do like I did in that time between G1 and G2...Not worry about it

It has consumed my life but there will be a time to move on......and collect more GI Joe and Star Wars

In the middle 90s, 94 if I remember, the only Transformers media in Hungary, the comics simply ceased to exist (the Marvel simply multipled the cost of the rights, and the publisher couldn't afford it here), and, there were no more Transformers for me at that time (the only figures available were Beast Wars figures, but after years of vehicles-tanks, etc... they were so alien from TF as the Animated now) I simply stopped collecting TF, but when I saw Unicron on a shelf, it was as the Light for me.

There is no way that there would be no more Transforming Robots, and, since in my point of view, it is simply the Biggest Figure-Toy Brand on the Earth, there must be a catastophic event to stop the Transformers. There may be Ups and Downs, but Transformers will allways be.

I have to admit that I too would be disappointed if TF's were discontinued. But I would also have my collection to be able to enjoy and look back on as well. I would certainly focus on ebay and try to bolster my G1 collection. That would be the only TF's left for me to buy!

We all know that Transformers will not be made forever. As the saying goes, "All good things eventually come to an end." So I ask, what do you think you'll do should Transformers no longer be made? Keep your collection? Sell it off? Pass it on to another younger family memeber? Have it buried with you?

I think like anything else transformers goes in cycle, and right now it is at the height of popularity. The reason why we see alot of g1 homage and remake stuff is that hasbro is trying to keep the hype going my appealing to kids who grew up in the 80's since today kids move from one fad to another with in a few months. I really don't see the new t.v. show doing that well because by then there will be a whole new fad for the the kids to latch on to, and it isn't aimed at collectors that has been made clear in multply interviews with hasbro and the creaters of the show, plus we haven't even heard what the air date for the new show will be all we know is that it will be some time in spring or summer of 2008.

No, the show has been scheduled to be on Cartoon Network and will debut in Jan 2008. They've already animated and recorded dialoge up to the second season. That much has been admitted in some cast interviews.

With the DVD for the live action movie coming out in mid October the hype will keep in place until Christmas and then they'll have TF Animated to continue the hype. If I didn't know better it would seem like Hasbro is playing it cool and methodical to consistently keep up the hype of TF's instead of letting the popularity slip for even a nano-second!

I'd focus on getting the older TFs I really want and on getting transforming mechas from other companies like Bandai and Yamato.

I honestly don't care much for characters, repeats or not. As long as the toys are good and innovative, Transformers will always be. Never forget that each series pretty much target a newer generation of kids every time. Kids that were introduced to TFs with Energon probably don't even know the existence of an Armada or RID Prime. Same with Cybertron, and so on. We're a lot of fans following the franchise, but I think we're far from being the majority of the buyers.

I'd be really, really sad.

But I'd come to terms with it, go back and collect what I want of series past.

After that....I'm sure I can find another addiction (video games) to blow my money on.

learn 3dmax or maya, & create TF characters with them. with knowledge in 3d graphics, u can visualized whatever u want.

Well in all honestly what main line TF series has been aimed at collectors except maybe Classics? All main line shows are aimed at Kids as they are Hasbro’s target audience. Peripheral lines like Alternators, Masterpeice and Titanum or more geared toward the collector. Collectors are clearly important to Hasbro too but we make up a small but insanely dedicated proportion of their customers. Therefore it doesn't matter if they aim the line at collectors or not because they know if they slap 'Transformers' on it a large proportion of us will buy it anyway regardless of if it's marketed towards us or not.


Personally I think Transformers Animated will do as well as any of the Unicron Trilogy shows, probably better becuase its being made for a western audience and not adapted from a japanese show. Plus to me TFA looks like a great line for collectors. It's character driven, it appears to have a relatively small cast, although there are humans in it the Transformers appear to be taking centre stage, the figures are super show accurate and there are plenty of G1 homages and characters making an appearance. I haven't bought a single movie toy because they have no character and they don't appeal to me aesthetically, TFA on the other hand look great and, so long as the show/characters are good, I expect to buy every show character. For me the promise of this show is the main thing keeping me in the hobby.

If Transformers were cancelled, I'd just keep collecting Macross.

But seriously - I actually DON'T think TF will be cancelled unless Hasbro majorly screws up.

The concept of transforming toys with a good back story seems strong enough for the franchise to persevere into eternity.

Transformers being cancelled is like Star Wars being cancelled - not gonna happen.

Even with no SW movies, Hasbro is still able to sustain the demand.
