NONE!Shadowman wrote:Sabrblade wrote:None of them.
I'm going to say Kiss Players again, see how you react to that.
Kiss Players.

You do know the Terminator was very cold and emotionless, right? Come to think of it, Schwarzenegger never played any roles like the Angry Face.godzillabot wrote:Blackarachnia is not sexy
Yes she is.godzillabot wrote:Optimus is a kid!
That was the point, he's a young inexperienced leader, which was a great deviation from the "Everyone respects him and he is the best" take on him.godzillabot wrote:Making toys of characters that never were on the show
Really? Dude, that's how it is with every series.godzillabot wrote:Swindle is a walking infomercial
And I think that's awesome.godzillabot wrote:The stereotypical New York Constructicons
Sort of. if you look closely, they're supposed to be parodies of roles played by Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro. (Goodfellas and Casino, for example)godzillabot wrote:Dinobots can’t even talk
They don't talk often but they do have speaking lines.godzillabot wrote:Wreck Gar is acting special needs
Wreck Gar, in this series, gets a pass for everything he does by being voiced by Weird Al.godzillabot wrote:Transformations sucked, I mean look; a swift criss-cross of color?
Opposed to the just kind of changing shape in ways that don't make sense that G1 used.godzillabot wrote:Guitarformers?
Yes, and it is glorious.
Gyrotron wrote:Sabrblade wrote:None of them.
Energon and Animated were pretty stupid. I agree with godzillabot.

Sabrblade wrote:I grow tired of this. Tired of all this... bashing. All this slandering. All this hatred. These acts of spewing insults and outrage towards the franchise that we all care for so dearly.
"Which Transformers series is the worst of all?"
"Who is the worst character of all?"
"Which series do you hate the most?"
"What/who do you hate...?"
"Your least-favorite..."
"Most hated..."
"Disliked.."
"Lamest..."
"Dumbest..."
"Pathetic..."
"Pitiful..."
"Lousy..."
"Stupid..."
"I hate...!"
At the end of it all, all these things basically ask the same question:
"Which aspect of our beloved Transformers franchise shall we tear apart this time?"![]()
Doesn't anyone ever get tired of finding fault in all this? Why do we put so much focus on the negative? Why not even trying looking for something, anything positive within this negativity? Or even, think of how improvements could have been made?
Of course there are to be imperfections. Each and every series has their own fair share of flaws, being far from perfect. But at the same time, they all have their own merits as well. Even Energon, even Kiss Players had its high points!
I am sick of it. I have grown weary of all the destructive criticism that we as a fandom inhibit upon that which we claim to be so lovingly into. We are more of a Fan Dumb who has taken the concept of Ruined FOREVER to new heights in the past 27 years.
What really gets me is when someone disses a series without having experienced enough of it to legitimately get a feel for what that series is really about. And when they refuse to do so, sticking with their premature opinions about it without truly giving it a fair shot. There is a word for this kind of people, and it is "ignoramus".![]()
And I really don't have to go into the aspect of Geewhiners Geewunners. We all know (or should know) of that stubborn point of view, so there's no need to open that can of worms. But to clarify, when using this term, I'm not simply referring to those who grew up with G1 and place it as their favorite. No, I'm specifically talking about those who grew up on G1, place it as their favorite, AND refuse to acknowledge any merit of any and all series to come after it. "First series" does NOT always equal "best series" or "only good series".
At the same time, I am not saying that we should only be spouting praise and blindly disregard any and all (blatant) errors that exist. That would be both silly and foolish (and a little creepy). But there does need to be a common ground between the two points of view. There are many who focus only on one side and barely recognize the other for at least one series or two. None of the series may be masterpieces, but none of them are Satan spawns either.
I do not deny that I too have contributed to this ever-growing hatred in the past. I have issued my fair share of destructive criticism out as well, yes. But all the same, I still acknowledge that each and every series is not without pluses just as they are not without minuses.
Do I love every aspect of the Transformers franchise. No, not all of it. Are there tons of problems with it. Of course! Could things have been done differently or even better to improve on these flaws? Slag, yeah! But is it all worth the amount of disgust and distaste that it is given? Certainly not!
One of these days, I wanna make a "In the Defense of [*insert series here*]" thread, in which I defend the merits of any and all series.
My name is Sabrblade, and I am proud to call myself a Fanus Maximus.

Because there's things we don't like about Transformers. We are allowed to not like things. You're wall of text is completely senseless because we are not required to be 100% satisfied with the franchise.
I mean, I brought up Kiss Players. Borderline lolicon plus blatant phallic imagery. Am I really supposed to look at **** like this (Possibly NSFW) and say "Well, it's Transformers, so I must love it unconditionally!"? And keep in mind, that's a relatively mild picture.
Face it, not everyone is going to like the entire franchise. Even me, and I don't think I'm too far off to say there's things about it that eve you don't like.

It would've been nice if the show implied the maximals were probably unconscious/in stasis for those weeks BUT NOPE NO EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN.
Skyfire77 wrote:Actually, that was Autobot-Hellstriker's point, not mine, but while I'm here: I don't buy it. Thing is, they were moving through time and space. Yeah Megs breaking free would have dropped him out weeks or months before the shuttle, but it should have left him stranded millions of miles from Cybertron.

Then simply skip that arc. The second one is standaloneish enough to not need the first one.Shadowman wrote:While I could read that wall of text, I should point out that a dimension hopping story (I could do that right now, sans the little girls) does not excuse the borderline hentai, and that cripples the series to the point that no one wants to touch it after that.

Because it has been done to death repeatedly and I was sick of it. I simply felt that I had to put my foot down. Like you and others have said, we have the freedom of expression. Like I said, I plan to do that. I just felt I had to get that off my shoulders first, as I've been keeping it bottled up for a while and just couldn't hold it in any longer.Shadowman wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Because it has been done to death repeatedly and I was sick of it. Because in this sense, you're not contributing to the topic at hand at all, you're actively trying to derail it by saying that the topic itself shouldn't be discussed. You want us to focus on the positive? Then make a thread focusing on the positive. This thread is about the negative.
