Retrax.

Possibly the ultimate pegwarmer (or in the Top Ten) of all time.

I mean, pillbug. Really. Of what use is a pillbug in battle? It folds up into a ball and rolls around. If he rolled around really fast and was hard to dodge it might work but frankly I think it gets my vote as "pathetic" with a capital "P".

Plus he's ugly and his toy in 'bot mode looks like it wants to give you a hug, which isn't very scary coming from a supposed bad guy.

Hugs can be scarry... if you're being huged by a porky pine or a cactise.

Technically he did have a third mode which was slightly more useful.

but at least in microscope mode, he could {for lack of a better term) use himself.

eggbots are fairly lame, too.

Two words...

Rock Lords

Sure they're not technically Transformers, they're Go-bots but they still transform.

Okay. I forgot about them (I suppose a lot did).

A boulder is a pretty useless alt mode.

Can't do a whole lot of much unless gravity (and an incline) is involved.

And it certainly makes "pillbug" look very useful in comparison.

You know I was just looking at some BW toys and I happen to notice that Retrax is in the American toy line. He was never on the show.

Now on the other hand there is another character useing the same mold in the BWII toy line. Of course he's a Maximal and his name is actully Powerhug. I have no idea if this guy was ever on the cartoon but I know Retrax wasn't.

Moon or whatever that rabbit thing was from BWII, completely useless carebear looking alt mode.

The casseticons were pretty useless. I mean if Soundwave ever died, they're pretty much worthless in alt mode...

So you stand there and i'll throw them at your head and we'll see how useless they are.

"But Burn! That's my point! They need someone to make them offensive!"

So did Megatron, guess that makes him just as useless.

wtf?!

Broadside is a badass jet fighter AND A giant aircraft carrier!

just cause he doesn't appreciate the forms, that doesn't make em lame or useless.

plus he's a friggin giant!

IMHO
