And why is that? I've imported thousands of dollars worth of Transformers from Japan and never had one problem.

Actually, I was also thinking the movie-preview figures would be inherently cheaper than the later figures. There are certainly aspects of the design that suggested that from the beginning.
I'm reminded of the Star Wars movie-preview figures, especially Jango. They weren't generally as good as the ones that came out later - articulation being the biter on that one.

While I'm not a big fan of the protoform figures, I'm going to defend them in this conversation. I didn't notice them feeling any cheaper or of less quality than the regular line figures. If anything, I noticed that they seemed more poseable and more like an action figure. What exactly feels cheap to you?

Lets Just Say it Involved A broken Classics Starscream (sorry Screamer fans) And an Proto Form optimus (I orderd another) And a Baseball bat....Oh and Happy firday the 13th!
