Unless the cat was declawed, had it's teeth removed and had one or more injuries before being attacked, it was not defenseless. It also depends on the breed of the cat. Remember, in an animal vs. animal fight, cats have more tricks up their sleeves than any dog.

Personally, this isn't about being better than him. At least if I let rip all my violent tendencies, I'd unleash it in the direction of this waste of space.

I don't care if I'm as him because it's not about that. It's about showing him what it's like to have a sick asshole pull some seriously twisted **** on him. It's about him feeling the same helplessness that cat felt, whether or not it's natural because in the end, he did it for pleasure, not because of some darwinian Survival Of the Fittest mindset or to appeal to his sense of the food chain.

Whichever way you look at it, he allowed - nay, encouraged his dog to attack a kitten, which he first abused by knocking it out of a tree, and he did it all for personal amusement. The guy could've done something worth while with his life and here he is stroking his ego by putting down an animal. All for his own satisfaction. And if going after him and putting a damn knife in his skull is deemed "just as bad", fine, because quite frankly, I'd rather satisfy the wills of the people who do good and who are thusly enraged by this than allow this scum sucking monster to get away without knowing what kind of sick, twisted freak he is.

Actually, for a very long time, humans *did* need to eat animal flesh. Human females in particular, because very few vegetable options provide enough iron in usable form to replace the iron women lose while menstruating. To do without that iron makes the female weak and incapable of reproducing. Rampant anemia, decreased stamina and resistance to disease--exactly wrong for a species trying to survive.

Nowadays, sure, we can go without meat, as long as we monitor proteins and eat a varied well rounded diet and probably take a vitamin supplement. Anyone who has gone vegetarian can tell you that at least at first, it's a lot of work and thinking to do it right! Couldn't exactly do that even, say 100 years ago. Many vegetarian or vegan women *today* are walking around anemic, even with all of these options and supplements and fortified foods. Some studies show that some ethnicities cannot or should not go meatless.

And I totally agree that animal eating animal, that whole food chain thing, is called 'nature' and it happens and that's why I'm too much of a wuss to watch nature shows. But this wasn't a case of snacktime. This was a case of brutality for entertainment. I think we can both agree that *that* is beyond the pale.

I have been told that 50 years ago whe had a bar in my own town where the owner would 'amuse' his clientell on a drunken night by throwing live cat's into a heavely burning fireplace and then hoping they caught fire and ran out through the open door.....apparantly they thought it was funny....

Prison...free food, able to work out, and the chance of being raped. The first two are pretty big pluses. Except for boredom and the chance of rape, he'd essentially be living a pretty decent life behind bars and our tax dollars would be paying for it.

The food is ****, "working out" involves rough physical labor, and being raped isn't the only bad thing other prisoners can do to you.

The way I see it is he lost the right to be treated like a living being by doing something that cruel to another living being. We've all got to share this little mud ball called Earth and monsters like that ruin the ride for everyone.

Realy Shadowman ignorence does not become you. Justice is itself a violent act against another being; it is however a moraly guided violent act.

That just makes me sick how can this guy live with himself for toturing a poor cat I also feel bad for the dog having to be trained to kill instead of love. These kinds of people need to be taken to jail and left to rot.

I hate anybody who derives joy from the torturing and murder of animals. No redemption could wipe that slate clean in my book, same for racists.
