And my wolf would play with it a little bit and then kill it and bring it to me as a gift!

Although when i watch that it reminds me of the insects in King Kong! :shock:

If there is one thing I hate, it's centipedes. I'd probably run away screaming like a little child. I'd rather fight a rabid grizzly bear or cancer, no joke. I couldn't even watch the video. I'm afraid of nothing except for centipedes.

awesome fight. i actually do have a giant centipede. only by giant i mean thats the species, its about 20cm. seeing how aggressive they are (if i gently blow on it it writhes and twists looking for anything to bite) and how incredibly fast they are, i wouldnt give myself much of a change unless i was heavily armed and saw it coming a while before it got to me.

for anyone who hasnt seen them in action i suggest you type "centipede vs" into youtube and watch them slaughter anything that comes near them. i saw a clip on one ambush a bird, pin it down and eat it. and there is a clip of one climbing a cave wall, hanging down from the top and catching a bat out of mid air and eating it.

they have no fear, no mercy big meathooks at the end of each leg, and some serious venom. heres a nice picture for anyone who might not be all that familar with them.

Hm, I would win, as I never go anywhere without a knife of some sort.

As for the third one, well, I don't own a pet, my roommates do. But the first pet I'll be getting, yeah the centipede would totally lose. Black Bear > Centipede

ah damn. i didnt see the vid he posted so i was figuring by giant centipede he meant like human sized or larger. yeah, id win. it would maybe bite me with an ambush, but as aggressive as they are there arnt any recorded fatalities from their bites, no adults at least.

it would hurt alot, but id either pull it off me (they tend to hold and chew rather than bite and run) and then crush it, or hold its head down on to my skin and then try and bite its head off below the neck, save me having a big jagged wound from having to rip it off me while its still dug into my skin.

I was actualy in this situation before, I lived in an infested basment apartment for a while, and I kid you not, there where some almost that big!

(still have chills over that place)

Well anyhow, I put up a good fight, many of their forces perished, as well as their cricket allies, but in the end, they and the landlords over all unwillingness to care gave the victory to them.

Thats OK though, I've moved on to bigger and better, while she can't keep a tenant down there, and has had the health board called on her several times now(I still know the guy who use to live on the first floor)

I don't think there is even a question here. No matter which species of giant centepede (Ethmostigmus Rubripes OR Scolopendra Gigantea) you are talking about, there is extremely little chance of death. The first mentioned centipede is slightly smaller, with venom no more potent than a wasp sting. The second is larger, with venom that, while powerful, is rarely fatal. In a jungle habitat both species would probably prove successful in evading you (something centipedes love to do). Unless you have a pet mouse :lol:

, your pet will probably make short work of it, expecially dogs (big) and cats.

In a deserted street, I would win. Just step on him, srsly.

In a jungle environment, I would still win. Unless he ran away or something.

As for my pet? Well, I have a big dog, a little dog and two cats. My big dog could probably handle it in any condition. My little dog would probably fail, and one of my cats would put up a fair fight.
