Actually, it was the Cybertron line that got me back into the toys. I viewed the Downshift gallary from this website, and that was it, I was hooked again! I hadn't done any collecting before that—except for picking up RID Sideburn several years ago. As for the movie toys—wow!—talk about complex. I've got Ironhide, Starscream and Barricade, and searching for 08 BB. Thanks for the welcome!

BTW would you guys count Transformers from other lines into your team? I'm tyring to make mine movie exclusive, though I'm having trouble not to add in Signal Flare, Skyblast, and Vector Prime

I'd love to pit Classics Jetfire against a classics Decepticon, but the guy has such a payload of weapons, it just seems like he would be unstoppable! I'm hoping Classics 2.0 will give him a worthy opponent.

Great anaylsis earlier about team dynamics. I think your spot on. You should definitely add in TFs from other lines, thats half the fun. Don't limit yourself to just the movie figs. Plus I just associate the Target scouts with the movie figs because of the packaging. Get StrongArm, he's a sweet fig and has an awesome weapon.

lol, very true. That's why you need to pit him against a group of Decepticons. Let him show off his true talents against a band of 3 or 4.

i wouldnt want Barricade on my team, he would be missing in the battle when u need him the most just like in the final battle of the movie

the baricade toy is pretty good though, he's mustang alt. mode is pretty awesome, i definitely would want bumblebee on my team, maybe during the fight he could play mortal kombat theme song on his radio lol

Fair deal then. I guess I am limiting my fun if I exclude other Basic sized figures or figures from other series. I'll try and get Strongarm, although he's as hard to find, like Skyblast (I'm glad I got Skyblast cuz there was only one of him and he hasn't reappeared since).

Currently my team now is led by beneficent Optimus Prime, flanked by his right-hand men medic Ratchet and veteran Ironhide. Ironhide's young student Arcee leads the charge as the ground infantry, supported by aerial ace Skyblast as the Autobot's answer to Decepticon airpower. Signal Flare acts as communications officer for Autobot cells, and as a group they are watched over by Vector Prime and Safeguard as the final line of defence.

I think this team is quite nice on its own, but slight modification help: for example, adding Bumblebee and Jazz will give them more ground assault capabilities, and the addition of guys like Omega Supreme or Metroplex will give them more epic allies.

BTW it never hurts the Decepticon teams to have bigger figures overall than the Autobots. In this respect I am looking forward to getting Leader Brawl.

See now thats a team I could get behind. Probably one of the best teams I've seen so far. If you ever get StrongArm, him and Signal Flare would make a hell of a communication team, plus SA's axe is a bad ass battle weapon. I would add in Bumble Bee, but keep out Jazz, cuz we all know he's going to die. For some reason, I really just don't like him.

I'm thinking about picking up Clocker to add some speed into my team and maybe Payload for some added fire power. Maybe even add Hardtop to my Decepticon team, because they have all bruisers and no real speed game (bar Starscream).

And softimus, I think I might add in Barricade to lead or co-lead my 2nd Decepticon crew. This one will be more diversified and not just straight up bruisers.

Thank you! I hope you have better luck with finding the figures that I personally am missing. I really want Strongarm and Bumblebee now.

There's news of 'Allspark Power' figures (see forum) to be released later this year and next year. So we all have new options for new troops on both teams. Most looking forward to Evac! He might be a Blackout repaint, but he's got a new head sculpt and gets a lifeboat instead of Scorponok! And more new Decepticons for the Decepti-fans out there

And yeah I don't like Jazz's figure itself, but if the G1 redeco comes along sometime I might take him home, just because he is probably part of this new 'Allspark Power' sub-series.

i can remember some of the repaints are barricade, ratchet, final battle jazz or maybe g1 jazz...

will the following wave include leader class brawl???????? or when does that come out, they should make a Leader Class frenzy. lol just kidding

Don't forget that Starscream will also get a new repaint.

A Leader Frenzy would rule. Although I hope for a new repaint or an entirely new figure of Megatron.

brawl is somewhere released already but he might be hitting by any day by august

Nope, I've hit about 5 or 6 stores in the last three days and no leader Brawl (only 1 leader Megatron).

So I found a nice stash of old Energon figs at my local KB Toys Outlet and I'm grabbing Windrazor tomorrow. He's going to be apart of my next Autobot team in planning: Adrenaline Rush.

Here's what I got planned so far:
- Classics Jetfire (Leader/Weapons Specialist)
- Energon Windrazor (Second In-Command/Aerial Attack)
- Target Scout Skyblast (Rookie/Aerial Ace/Aerial Attack)
- Movie Deluxe Arcee (Ground Attack)
- Target Scout Clocker (Ground Support/Infil)
- Target Scout Signal Flare (Communications)

When Optimus Prime needs a target neutralized fast or something done quickly, he pulls back his ground units and sends in team Adrenaline Rush, a team specializing in air and speed. They are daredevils and speed demons, but they get the job done in record time.

Whereas my first team (still working on the name) was heavy on ground and size, this team is built on speed. They may lack in firepower (well except for Jetfire), but they make up for it in speed and utter craziness.

It still needs to be tweaked and I'm open to all suggestions, what do you guys think?
